SanDisk announced that they have a new set of memory stick PRO Duo and SD cards as an entry products to the portable game accessory market, more specifically targeted towards Sony's handheld. They will be available in four memory storage capacities (the basics-128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB) and four colors (red, yellow, green and orange), the cards will range in price from 40 USD (128MB) to 160 USD (1GB).
The new SanDisk memory sticks will be available in retailers worldwide by the end of January.
Note: I appologize for the 'USDs,' it's because keyboards here don't have the dollar button.

So its approximatly ;128MB=$40, 256MB=$80, 512MB=$120, 1GB=$160 :D . i will probibly get the plain black memory card with 512MB of memory. but if the cards are colour-coded, then most likely, ill be still getting 512MB of memory.
it seems IMO they're a little too expensive.
(can you post where you got your source.....thanks)

I never really go to Rob's Gaming, I can't stand the overwhelming amount of typos on that site ;)

Yeah, but you gotta remember that the guy [Rob] is only one guy. I don't like the plain design or the fact that Rob takes it offline sometimes at night.

Rob is a really strange guy, but his site is ok. It doesn't warrant a bookmark for me, though.

im actually really glad that there is already a confirmation that there are going to be more than just one memory amount. this makes me more confident that sony is going to make different battery packs.

Rob is a really strange guy, but his site is ok. It doesn't warrant a bookmark for me, though. Strange? Yes. He is a bit of both, strange and weird. In my views, the worst aspect of his site is the plain design, followed very closely by their forums.(It seems as if Rob has no style.) What single person is crazy enough to belive that they can take down sites like GameSpot and IGN? Rob's site is more of a fan site than a real site.

Tha single person is Rob ;) I'm glad he's not here spamming our boards with ads for his mediocre site like he did over at PsiNext. That was rather annoying.

on ebgames.com they have the sandisk memory cards. 128mb card is like a fuscia color and is 39.99, the 256 is and orange red color and is 54.99, the 512 is green and is 89.99 and the 1gb is yellow and is 159.99. I think they should have a little bit better colors, maybe blue or a black. Just don't like the girly fuscia color.
By the way, this is my first post.

i think they made the 128mg memory stick pink so people dont bother to buy it, but instead, buy the 256mg memory stick. kind of like a trick  :D
and yes the colours dont look very appealing. IMO the best looking one is the 512 momeory stick (the green one)

Those are some pretty cool colors though. I would prefer the black, but there is nothing wrong with those.

I'm torn between the 512 and full gig. The self-gratification of the full gig is so tempting.

The self-gratification of the full gig is so tempting.
I know what you mean. And the hypnotic yellow color is enticing as well. ;)

Depending on how much room is going to be needed to save or music on the cards. I'm going with the 1 gb so I'm safe with w/e I want to download to it. Be nice if you could use these for the PS3 too.

I am going for the 512MB memory stick. i already have a MD walkman and i dont think ill be putting too many songs on my PSP. As for the games, i feel like 512MB of space is more than enough for me.

Id go for the 2Gig so then it will last me long term with what ever game save or download i put onto it.

but you have to look at it this way. PS2 memory cards are 8 MB and they last for a really really long time. so 1 GB is absoluetly more than enough.....isnt it? well, thats what i think..

True, but your not gonna be putting songs on a 8mb PlayStation 2 memory card, supposing you are gonna with the Memory Sticks. Remember, the memory cards for the PSP are going to be the Memory Stick Duos your buy with the console. I personally would go for 512+mb only cause I'm probably gonna be listening to alot of music and watching lots of videos.

Gamestop is now selling a black 128MB memory card! :D since they already made a black memory card that doesn’t hold just 32MB, I’m predicting that they'll be making all sorts of colors for all the MB amount of free space.

I would think the 512MB memory card is enough. thats why all I'm getting is the 512MB (hopefully when I get my PSP).

I'm thinking of the playstation made one or maybe even the 128, cause the only thing id use it for would be game saves, I already have a 300$ mp3 player. But 128 would be more than enough to store game saves and such isn't it?
Plus i think that they get kinda pricy, i mean 1 gig is great and all but 160$!!!!!!thats almoust as much as the system itself!

Now they have a 64MB memory card. That’s right, 64MB. This 64MB memory card comes with USB. And the price is $39.99. If I were to choose between a 64MB memory card with USB and a 128MB, I would pick a 128MB because it seems your getting more for the money IMO.
