Gordon Brown or David Cameron? You should pick based on party ideals,
and the leader himself. I would have to go with David Cameron. 8)

Although Blair was charismatic, we now need someone whose strong and to the point and is not scared to make decisions. Brown fits that for me.
I don't know who the 4 people where that voted for Cameron, but I bet they're not British lol. The last conservative leader I liked was John Major. He done well to follow up from the "witch". Aside from that, theres been no one that comes close to getting my vote. And I doubt I'll be voting conservative any time soon.
I'm labour all the way and will probably always be until they completely mess up... but I doubt that.

Dayamn, this thread is old.
For me, Gordon Brown. David Cameron uses his popularity as an appeal to the masses, Brown relies a lot more on his own policies. What I'm particularly impressed by is how much detail Brown uses when discussing policies, a quality Cameron rarely shows.

neither of them - Con/Lab are both self serving & corrupt to the core.
Non US politics on this forum!? >_<
In the UK's case 'Banana republic politics' - the party in power (labour) the opposition (conservatives) even 3rd place (liberal democrats) have all be found guilty of UK election fraud & vote rigging & thats just the tip of the iceberg!!! - how anyone can vote for any of there so called political parties is beyond me!

David Cameron is a more pragmatic, more eloquent, and vastly more charismatic politico. And he just comes off as a lot more amicable than grouchy old Gordon Brown... Nor does it mitigate his appeal that he's a conservative that actually wants to conserve... It's revolutionary!

Interesting topic. At the moment I'll still go with Brown as Cameron still seems like just anoth re-incarnation of Blair, while Brown seems to be a reasonable leader whose already steered this country safely through a few major crises.

Exactly what I'm thinking. Cameron just seems all talk but little action, like all his policiy steering groups, which he has make a report for six months and then ignores them completely. Also th ranodm bike-riding stunts are pointless as he actually uses a massive V6 Lexus.

Neither of them to be honest. The time has come for England to have an English prime minister, not a Tory faux-Scotsman who went to Eton and has diction skills that sounds like he was born in Buckingham Palace.
Brown's incompetence is already showing with the catastrophic week just gone and he just doesn't have the charisma to be a Prime Minister. David Cameron looks like a mature version of Keane lead singer Tom Chaplin.
It's depressing times for English voters. The whole government seems to be run by people who don't really have England's interests at heart. Scotland has the SDP who, rightly so, want independence. I find it particularly disturbing how politicians from Scotland can vote on matters concerning England where English ministers cannot do the same with Scotland's.
I'm not even English and this annoys me! When will the disillusionment ever end?

Both just as bad as each other but would have to go with Cameron, Gordon Browns Premiership has been somewhat of a joke so far

I kinda agree with you. Brown has had alot crap thown at him, take the Northern Rock crisis for example. On the other hand though, he has dealt with the constant problems rather well.
I respect the man as well. He is trying to clean the mess that Tony Blair left, the Iraq War as another example.
