You dont get points for quotes and so I have found that people dont use quotes, they simply just put very long articles in their post and get points for it, with out being hypocritical I have also been doing it my self.

Perhaps you should just give people points for quotes.

Whats the point? i bet it would just give morph and rebon some re-codeing, and its not like they have broken their backs already after fixing some seriouse gliches etc... maybe the next time the forum is schedualed for downtime but not now...

Also may i point out that its kinda re****ed to do it any ways so then they can get points, there just point, points are not an actual currency...

No, you got it wrong. the thing is, people don’t get skill points in the 'quotes' so those people just copy and paste the information into their post without using the quote feature at all.

The whole point of this thread really is to let people know that its ok to use quotes and skill points isn’t everything. (IMO)

If this becomes a big hassle and problems occur I'm sure one of the admins/mods will address it…

You don't receive points for quotes because you are quoting someone else and therefore the words in your posts are not your own. If we gave points for quotes, you would be getting points for other people’s contributions.

It is not that we do not appreciate quoting other members, but there just isn't any point giving credit to someone for something they didn’t write themselves if you get me.

So just Quote what ever, dont copy and paste, or else you will be shot (not litteraly) i think it should be Carved into the stone called rules...
