Well, there goes our bandwidth; 40 (yes, 40) Ace Combat 6 screenshots have been smuggled out of Namco Bandai's media prison camp, and if you like dials and cockpits you're in for a treat.

Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, to give it its proper title, it due out later this year with Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Co-op online multiplayer modes to accompany the vanilla single-player action.

The sixth game's biggest touting point is its Dynamic Operation System - a fancy feature allowing a maximum of six battles to rage simultaneously on a single battleground. There's also the Allied Support System, which lets you grab support from tanks, ships and other aircraft.

A full-on Xbox 360 flight stick is planned to release alongside the game, though there's no news of it reaching Europe just yet. It will though, surely.

IGN says : Ace Combat 6 hits the Japanese Xbox 360 later this year. There's no word in Famitsu on a PS3 version, so for now, we're going to assume this is a 360 exclusive.

That's true. While Xbox fans were non existant. We were playing Air Combat on the Ps1. Then the love grew and became what it is known to date.

This shouldn't be even multi-plat let alone 360 exclusive. It's just yet another "in your face" rubbing tool for Aqua and his xbox henchmen! ;)

the game is basically ace combat 5 in HD. im not seeing anything so impressive, ground texture needs serious work when closing up. the ocean water is just butt ugly at this stage, the shader needs to b redone. and the strong jaggies on the plane itself, just not acceptable from a nextgen product. the only good things are the missile trails, the smoke and clouds looked decent, the jets hav enuf polygons but the jaggies just ruined it.
im actually waiting for a proper nextgen ace combat built ground up and utilising all the SPEs, not some converted code from another system.

No motion no play... Namco must be out of their mind...Are you serious, there no motion sensing features? That is a crazy idea, this would have been a perfect opportunity for not only namco, but sony to show a game that has implemented this feature, and not ward off people with thinking that the sixaxis is all a gimmick, that was made up at the last minute- In the words of Adam Sessler/G4TV
