I've been looking at invision board lately and it is a much nicer and crisp board then PHPBB. I like PHPBB but invision seems to have an edge on it. I'd hope ya might consider switching over to this, should be able to take all posts with you to.

Now for background color, well white just hurts the eyes and a darker aproach looks much sweeter in my opinon. Actually just a nice soft black does the trick. Anyways, please put these into thought.

Here's what Im talking about, one of my old bosses of another site co/runs this place. I hope it's ok with you morpheus to link another forum. I usually dont condone advertising on someone elses boards but thats not what Im trying to do here.

yeah, a dark color would definitively spice things up a bit.

It's a possibility. I had a look at the invision forum and I wasn't hugely swayed, but I guess I will keep it as an option. Perhaps in the future we could run a poll to see what everyone thinks?

I presume you mean when we have more members?

I dont see the real need for the switch - what does invision have that phpbb2 does not?

Also im not sure about a dark colour scheme. I tihnk what ill do is install a few different themes and allow the user to choose their style.

I think Invision has a crisper look but that's just me. To be honest though my favorite boards are VBB. Those however carry a pricetag.

I still suggest an option on your profile to view the board in different ways. It gives you a fresher way to looking at the the forum along with a more ready to post attitude if you change it now and then.

The idea of have different colors for the user to choose from is good but.....it's not really that professional. Having one standard color for everyone that usually matches the main page is the way to go.

Yea I agree with PSX_Junkie here. However I would compromise by having user selectable forum colours that were consistent with the board’s front page theme.

It could be interesting that. So how would you go about this? Know anything you can use offhand.

This board looks a little like crap imo, check out the colors though. Blues have a nice dark yet stand out appereance. The bluish/white area however seems to not have had anything done to it. I think if you guy's feel it's time for a color change ya should go all out, and opt for something that you plan to have for a while.

I know what you mean. I'll talk over a colour change with morph and we'll see how things go.

It would be good to have some extra skins for members to choose from.

i think having a darker colour while maybe cool makes the board less ummm smart as it were. does anyone get that?
