I played high school football. I started on varisty from my sophmore year as a LB, then I moved to Defensive End for my Junior and Senior year. I also made the All-Star team for my county. Was some of the greatest years of my life. I really wish I would have took it to the college level.

thats awesome, i play QB for JV and i'm a freshman, so ive got a big chance for varsity next year. I love it so far, we didnt make the playoffs this year because we play in the toughest division for texas(5a), but where moving down to 4a next year and we should win almost every game. If you are wondering i play at Del Rio High, in South Texas and we play against the San Antonio teams most of the time

Yeah, I played in the 5a division also here in Florida. We never made the playoffs, because the teams we played were sick and the players usually went to 1-A schools afterwards. I can easily look at Miami's roster from the past few years and name alot of people I played against.

My school is not allowed to have a football team. Supposedly this academic high school thing whatever wouldn't allow them. But really I bet it's because they don't want stereotypes at the school.

I played my freshman and sophomore year, but decided not to play varsity (i'm currently in my junior year). At my school, football is less of a sport and more of a lifestyle. Although, this we will be going to state this week for the third year in a row (lost the first two years) so i guess whatever they do works. They just demanded too much work and time, which i was rewarded very little for (I got to be on the kick return team, and of course scout team :) )

I played junior and senior year at ocean lakes in virginia beach, I was a demo allstar, lol. If I could play in college I would, but being 5'6 doesn't help my chances.

Hey Felix336, you say that your team has made state last three years, i am interested what team that is and what state.(Our team played the state champs of texas for last year and lost 28 to 41 ). By the way football takes ALOT of time here too. It is offseason for us now and we are weight lifting for a min. of 2 hours here and sprinting for 30 min after. It is really busy. We do two a days, plus we got all this academic standards we have to meet. This is relaxing when i get to go on the computer :) .

Yeah, we have a lot of offseason stuff, which is part of the reason why i stopped playing (needed to focus on school and track). We have to do things similar to you, like lifting in the offseason, then training camp in the summer, a few weeks of doubles, and then the season begins. I just couldn't stand how it lasted through the entire year.

That sounds pretty much like ours, my question is why don't you stay in football. I agree that it is tough work, anyone would say that, but you gotta agree that it keeps you in good shape. Don't you like weight-lifting with the team as well? I think it is an incredibly fun experience. Hope your team does well in state.
