u guys HAVE to check out these videos http://media.psp.ign.com/media/682/682967/vids_1.html?fromint=1 these graphics are amazing, IMO they're just as good as the PS2 if not better. If they want to help sales for the PSP they should put these type of videos in the commercials.

lol, the graphics are a little reduced of PS2's. I saw it in a magazine. It showed it that it wasn't as much as the graphics of ps2's. But still it's amazing what a handeld made by Sony could do.

if anything it should be better because it's more powerful than the ps2. it could be the screen that is making it look not so great

Fantastic graphics, i would like to see the nintendo DS tho, to compare (none-biased) and to give my fair and honest opinion......... oh and to see what advantaged two screens will it have!? i think its a bit of a dumb idea my self, buti would have its uses......

ya, i would like to do the same, i still havent seen the nintendo DS and would also like to compare the DS' graphics to the video. As for the touch screen, i think te touch is cool but what i dont like is the duel screen. I think they should have just had one screen that was touchable...

:shock: NO COMEPETITION! This just made me really really happy. Like I said before, no competition. PSP just simply as the upper hand. Playstation is going to live up to its name and become a great handheld producer, wow.

If you compare these graphics to the real thing, not much would be different. The only thing I could imagine being different is how clean the car is (for example^(the picture)^). Or how the camera is greatly focused and so very clear.

Graphics are great I gotta admit but the thing is that the battery stick lasts less longer but I don't think many people will go somewhere for that long without a charger right? Maybe so maybe not. But I think Sony is working on it.

This whole battery life thing is a bit over rated. I say this because I would ask any normal every day gamer a question.

Q1. Would you rather play Madden 2005 on a portable gaming device that lasted 3 hours with graphics about 95% close to PS2?

EA stated that the graphics for Madden on the PSP should look like the second or third generation PS2 Madden. Instead of Madden '03 I'm using the first gen Madden in this example picture.

Not with games that use alot of pretty graphics. Sony has said themselves that a game with great graphics that use the UMD alot will last less than 5 hours. IGN played Ridge Racer on the PSP and said that the game with WiFi off, volume and brightness all the way up lasted around three or three and a half hours.

You have to remember that ps2 is not a handheld and is able to hold a larger graphic chip than a small PSP. Graphics close to a PS2 would be a first in the handheld industry in any case and i am surprised that they got that good.

What do you mean addition batteries? :? Like the specific battery the PSP uses? I did hear about it's horrible battery life but not that horrible. That's wayy off my chart. yeah like the memory sticks you can also buy additional batteries for the PSP. this will come out great especially to cover up the poor battery life(2 1/2 hours for games with good graphics.)

All of those pics are really really good. The psp blows the ds out of the water. I tryed the ds and I could not play it. It was so hard to play that metroid prime game that is out for it. The tuch screen is SO hard to use and with the wire less gaming you can only play wireless up to 30 feet.

I was talking about the size of the whole unit in the second size quote. The unit itself is 6 1/2" long, not the screen just to clear things up.

Those pics were so cool. The ds does not stand a chance. GT4 looks SO good. That is going to be one of the first games that I get when I buy my psp.

they were supposed to ahve on at CES but alot of things didnt work. Infact at CES they only showed JP versions of the PSP. They dont even have the US versions to the developers yet. The develoeprs are using dev kits that come with a mockup up the psp with an LCD screen to see how it looks on the screen. They dont even have functioning controls on it. Pretty lame on sonys part

Check out the graphics in the new SpiderMan game on the PSP. The lighting in the game looks like something from a third generation PS2 game. After seeing these movies on more than sure that ever guy here will wet their pants and pre-order a PSP if they have the money.
