Pele was just so amazing, he was just a better all around player and more complete athlete that Maradona was. To think that he had a World Cup Championship under his belt at 17 years old, damn that right there is crazy. Maradona was one of the greatest player ever too, however one thing that could have make a big impact in his career was that handball goal against England in Mexico 86, not saying that if they called that handball Argentina would've lost the game but we will never know what could've happen.

DUDE it's Maradona , I've been following this guy before he entered the WC in what was it...1981 or 82..86 forgot.....But damned this guy can play football , there was no one who could stop him, he just marches into the enemies defense straight to the goal...... I was a very big fan of him way back in the 80's.

How about Ronaldinio ...this guy can make things happen to.....but Pele, I have only seen footages of him he was good and the closest to Maradonna..
Seen footages of George Best...and yeah he is a genius to...
and Romario...can't quit understand what happened to him he was great to..he disappeared out of the picture and plays at some local league .

To tell you the truth, I have seen Maradona's "Hand of God" goal from many angles and I still don't see how come he got away with that in a World Cup. I mean if it was a friendly game or one of those street matches:lol: , but the World Cup and in playoffs that is ****ing bull . I still think he was amazing though, and I take my hat off to the other goal he scored in that game.

That's funny I voted the opposite way becuase of that reason.

But Pele was the better all round Player. Maradonna just had a few moments of sheer class, but Pele did it day in day out for his entire career.

I'd take Zinedine Zidane or Thierry Henry over both of these guys... Personal preference though.

Also - Pele played with hardly any competition in comparison to the players of today. He's like the Wilt Chamberlain of soccer. Sure Wilt scored 100 points in a single game, but there was only 8-10 other great players playing in the entire league at the time.
