I think a lot of the political and enviromental issues are shown inside Linkin Park's new music video, "What I've Done" off their new upcoming album, "Minutes To Midnight" a term used for the doomsday clock. Check it out and comments are welcome.
Linkin Park - What I've Done (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwz9gtxBT-E&mode=related&search=)
In this farewell,
There’s no blood,
There’s no alibi.
‘Cause I’ve drawn regret,
From the truth,
Of a thousand lies.
So let mercy come,
And wash away…
What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.
Put to rest,
What you thought of me.
While I clean this slate,
With the hands,
Of uncertainty.
So let mercy come,
And wash away…
What I’ve Done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.
For What I’ve Done
I'll start again,
And whatever pain may come.
Today this ends,
I’m forgiving what I’ve done.
I’ll face myself,
To cross out what I’ve become.
Erase myself,
And let go of what I’ve done.
What I’ve done.
Forgiving What I’ve Done.
The best part was from 2:03 to 2:11, in my opinion.

The song is truly awsome in my opinion. I listen to it alot and listen to the words and its great how they sang a song like that. Its somewhat true in my opinion, the way i see it, is they are talking about how we screwed up, we know we screwed up, so now we are just waiting for it all to go away.

...Just what we need, more lefty political views in the Music\Hollywood industry. Yes, lets all encourage these people, and valiant efforts agaisnt the Pseudo-Scientific Plague that is Global Warming and the Greenhouse effect.
^I've never been a preponent of Al Gore's mythical doomsday through Global Warming and the G.H.E.
Honestly? I'd rather there be no politics in entertainment (Music), and much less of it in the movies. But we all know who has a stranglehold on hollywood.

No kidding, at what point did we start listening to a bunch of musicians on their politial opinions. Apparently in between the touring, constant partying, and recording of music if they spit some political comment it MUST be true.

Luckily we have people more blunt about their political beliefs. Rosie is our savior for enlightening the nation on the 9/11 conspiracy and how we sent british soldiers into Iranian waters to start a war.

Oh god, please don't start with that fat, psychotic *********!
Rosie is the worst thing to have come out of the entertainment industry.
There is nothing political about that fat *********!

C'mon, let's get back on topic, people!
I like how the band isn't afraid to show some clips from 9/11.

Ok.
Personally i dont have anything against musicians expressing their views in their music videos.
Sometimes the whole bleeding heart thing does get a bit old but I'd rather be watching something with a message instead of a gwen stefani or one of those other 'limited time only' singers.

Yeah, I can't stand those crappy pop singers who think they can actually sing.

Be careful who you say that to.
There are some deranged fans out there.
I've just recently heard about a girl who was a major britney spears fanatic and defended her whenever people criticized her music.
But when britney shaved her head and went all nuts for a while the girl had a mini breakdown herself and had to be taken to a private mental health clinic.
It was probably a combination of her being completely unstable and not being able to see her idol hit rock bottom.

Some people are just completely obsessed with their music idols.

There is nothing wrong with any band or entertainer expressing their opinions on political affairs. Or anything for that matter. It's just like everyone with their political debates in this forum. It's all opinions.

Man, this song has been stuck in my head all day.
It'd be a perfect music video for Resistance: Fall of Man.

I can't take Will Smith seriously. He's a terrible rapper and he was the Fresh Prince. No seriousness will ever come from him.

Why?
You think all black people sing about is money, drugs, cars and women?
What a stereotype.
Did you know that the lead singer for the heavy metal band, Killswitch Engage, is black?
Just because Will decides to sing about 9/11 or whatever, doesn't mean he's terrible.

It wasn't because of the 9/11, it's just not my cup of tea. His rhymes just don't flow together very well... if at all.

I think we could at least give him credit.
If music artists/bands would get a little more serious, then I'd give them more respect.
Linkin Park and rappers like Talib Kweli are just the tip of the iceberg.

I can't believe how pesimistic some os you people are towards the song. They are just people like us forwarding their political point of view...I can't see any thing wrong with that. Or some of you are just bigger intellects than they are? But nevertheless I love Linkin park and their video is thought provoking.
