I agree, the style is a bit different. But it looks like it should be good. I want to get the game but can't right now.

I completely disagree. The old school live action movies were awesome.

Ok I'm gonna break it down as a TRUE Turtle fan.

The first cartoon series was/is the best! It was the Turtles I grew up with and as the series got older and older and went more and more sci-fi I grew less interested.

The orginal comics were awesome! I liked the gritty/dark atmospheres even though I was a fan of the cartoon.

The first TMNT movie was BY FAR the best of ANY Turtles movie. It was the perfect balance between the cartoon and the orginal comics. Secret of the Ooze was a decent sequel whereas Part III was utter CRAP (Even though I own it)

The 2003 cartoon series started off good but quickly went into the sci-fi crap I disliked from the orginal cartoon so I was quickly turned off from it. Let's not even discuss the Fast Forward series out now.

Next Mutation (Live action series on FOX afternoon block after TMNT II) was crappier then the third film. Adding a female Turtle was a BAD idea. So to me this does not exsist in the Turtles universe.

The games had their fair share of highs and lows.

Highs

TMNT Arcade
TMNT Turtles in Time
TMNT Revenge of the Foot Clan

Lows

Every other TMNT game

The new game is a decent play but you REALLY need to be a Turtles fan to enjoy it.

Now the new movie is here and from the previews and the game I will tell you what I like and odn't like as a Turtles fan.

Likes

It retains a good balance between the cartoons and orginal comics like the first movie (Being this is supposed to take place AFTER the first film)

The story sounds very good (The brothers go their seperate ways and must overcome obstacles to reunite as the fighting force they were. VERY remincient of the orginal books)

Dislikes

Most of the voices (Raph and Splinter ESPECIALLY)

MORE Sci-Fi mumbo-jumbo (I will FOREVER want Shredder I don't need intergalactic mobsters or creatures)

The art design of the Turtles is a toss up sometimes they look good other times not.

I'm going into the film with low expectations, but I'm seeing it because I AM A TURTLES FAN!

I have owned EVERY figure and playset from the orginal run and I lived and breathed the Turtles for MOST of my adolescent years. They are as a part of me as the blood running through my veins.

In my opinion this new film does NOT look better then the orginal film. On par with the second (Maybe) and leaps and bounds better then the third (Shudders)

I liked the art and I liked how it was serious, but like I said to sci-fi for me. Shredder was an Utrom? WHAT? Purple who? Hun? You get where I'm coming from.

Yes that was a bit weird....I never liked Krang in the first place, so I didn't want to see more of his race.

Well the movie kicked butt, and I think there will definitely be a sequel.

Regardless I did enjoy the film, nice fighting scenes expecially against the "Night Watcher" and Leonardo. Though the ending scene could have been elaborated more so it did get the point across that evildoers are defeated nevertheless. Also the Foots current leader (voiced by Zhang Ziyi hotness ahem) did elude to a forboding plotline that could entail to another movie.

I was looking through the VC on the wii the other night and noticed they put up the original TMNT NES game on there..I haven't downloaded it yet want to wait until I get some more Wii points, but I'm pretty excited..
