This is Chad Johnson, Bengals WR catching a pass for a touchdown in the second half. After he caught the ball he began to "resuscitate" the ball claiming that the ball couldn't handle the excitement he was giving it. Now after last weeks river dance extraveganza we didn't really expect much more from Chad. But he gave us one we won't forget and it will go down in history as one of the best football celebrations ever. Sadly, he could not resuscitate the Bengals, losing their first of the season. The Jags win, 20-23

Now, anyone who saw the Eagles and Cowboys game thinks they can read lips because I know exactly what Keyshawn was saying to Bledsoe on the sidelines. Bledsoe, obviously angry with Keyshawn for dropping a pass leading to an interception, gave Keyshawn a mouthfull on the sidelines which apparently, emotional Keyshawn didn't like too much. Dallas wins, 33-10.

The bears drop another easy game, this time to the Cleveland Browns. Trent Dilfer, 6th round draft pick in 1994, led the Browns to a 20-10 win over the spiraling Chicago Bears.

How about them Packers eh? The 0-4 Packers went into Sundays game thinking of firing every single member of the Packers organization, including Favre. After a 52-3 slamming of the New Orleans Saints, theres no chance of any of that anytime soon.

What a great game in Atlanta this weekend. Vick, sidelined with a knee injury, cheered Matt Schaub on from the sidelines while Matt played his second career NFL game. Matt Schaub did very well. Matt went 18/34 with 298 yards and 3 TD's. Although the Falcons gave the Patriots a serious scare after tying the game at 28 a piece, Adam Vinaiterri didn't want anything to do with the Pats first losing streak since 2002. The Pats win 31-28.

Breaking News: Mike Martz, head coach of the St.Louis Rams, is back in the hospital with a bacterial infection near his heart, will relinquish his duties to Joe Vitt.

Monday Night Edit: Oh that's a shame. Big Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers looks to be out for a long time. This is just an estimation but when I saw the play where he got injured, I almost shrieked in terror. With about 2 minutes left in the game, Ben Roethlisberger was driving down the field to counter San Diego's TD to take the lead. Now, usually one would think with 2 minutes or less left, they should only be passing considering all they needed was a field goal and they had Jerome Bettis in at Full Back. So, Ben passes the ball and during the play, a Chargers defender comes in and dives straight into Ben's knee. From what I saw it was clearly hyperextended. It could have other damage but from seeing Ben rolling on the floor clutching his knee, it may just be the blow that will send the Steelers home early without contention for the rest of the season. On a much less depressing note, LT had another rushing TD. The bigger story for the Chargers, besides them losing was the fact that their jerseys made me like the look of the PS3 controller. Those things were hideous. The reminded me of a high school jersey. Sky blue with the stupid numbers on the helmets. I think it's time for teams to stop bringing back the throw-back jerseys. They're throw-back for a reason.

I was thinking about that but the daily sports roundup seems more like just scores. This is a football topic meant to discuss the games that stood out when I watched them.

For the Jets game, I was pissed off. Vinny Testaverde, the ageless wonder, comes off the streets and throws the Jets into victory over the undefeated Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I hope Jon Gruden's screaming the hell out of that team because there is no reason for the Bucs to lose. The jets were basically conceding this year. And then they go and beat the undefeated/overrated bucs.

The Eagles totally let me down. They were susposed to go in and walk all over the Cowboys but does this happen? NO! They get smoked.
Good thing the Astros game was on so I could watch that instead.

Conceding? how do you figure that? You ever play sports? You dont ever concede. The jets can win with defence, its one of the best in the league. They didnt have a good offense last year and they almost made it to the AFC chamnponchip, all because of there defence.

Hey, I watch ESPN every day. Herman Edwards literally said "this year is already a dissapointment but we are going to go out every week and give it our best with what we have." IPSO FACTO, CONCEDING. They literally brough Testaverde off the streets expecting him to put them into contention? Hell no. They wrote this season off as a failure and basically said we'll wait for next year when we get the #1 draft pick to draft Matt Leinhart.

You ever play sports?

First of all thats besides the point. Second of all I play varsity baseball. But that has nothing to do with an NFL season. Yeah it sounds weird but I heard it out of Herman Edwards mouth.

Actually they brought vinny in because he knows the players and he knows the system. They brought him in because he is a veteran. If herm tells him not to throw the ball if a man isnt open he wont. You think a younger would do that...no. Did the herm and the jets quit last year when pennington went down with a torn shoulder...no. They actually won 2 out of 3 games and then he came back and played with a torn shoulder and should have went to the afc championchip. Herm Edwards is one coach in the league that would never quit. Actually no coach in the nfl would do that. When your players get hurt, you find ways to win. Thats what the jets did last year, told their backup not to turn the ball over and the defence will take of it. Thats what they will do this year.
