Yeah I know the draft isn't until April, but Yahoo sports has released first round mock draft.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jm-mockdraft020807&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
1. Oakland Raiders (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/oak/) JaMarcus Russell, quarterback, LSU. His ability to keep his eyes focused downfield, plus his rifle arm and eye-opening size, would make him a perfect fit for a Raiders team that lacked firepower and punch in its offense this past season.
2. Detroit Lions (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/det/) Jamaal Anderson, defensive lineman, Arkansas. A quick glance at the Lions' depth chart shows that despite Calvin Johnson possibly being the most talented player on the board, they could use an impact defensive lineman. That makes Anderson highly attractive. Detroit is the team most others will look toward to make a deal since one of the two top-rated quarterbacks will still be available at this selection.
(A coin flip at the NFL combine will decide the No. 3 and No. 4 choices between Cleveland and Tampa Bay.)
3/4. Cleveland Browns (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/cle/) Alan Branch, defensive lineman, Michigan. Branch would fill a major void for the Browns, who would allow him to clog the middle while opening up lanes for their outside pass rushers and young linebackers Kamerion Wimbley and D'Qwell Jackson. Cleveland paid close attention to the interior line position leading up to last year's draft but opted to take the pass rusher, so addressing the spot this year should come as no surprise.
3/4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/tam/) Calvin Johnson, wide receiver, Georgia Tech. The healthy return of quarterback Chris Simms, running back Carnell Williams and wide receiver Michael Clayton certainly will help, but having a playmaker on the outside like Johnson to line up across speedy veteran Joey Galloway would open up the ground attack and provide the Bucs' quarterback with the type of rare pass-catcher who can make plays anywhere on the field.
5. Arizona Cardinals (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/ari/) Joe Thomas, offensive tackle, Wisconsin. They have areas on the defensive side of the ball to address, but finding a tackle that can lock down and anchor their line for the next 10 years is a primary need heading into the offseason. The Steelers have made it a habit of dominating the line of scrimmage during Ken Whisenhunt's time in Pittsburgh; it is something he now will stress in Arizona.
6. Washington Redskins (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/was/) Gaines Adams, defensive end, Clemson. While not a complete player, Adams possesses the primary asset of harassing the quarterback. Creating pressure and forcing throws would provide the 'Skins with an improved pass defense and likely force opposing teams into an increased number of turnovers in 2007.
7. Minnesota Vikings (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/min/) Reggie Nelson, defensive back, Florida. Nelson has the cover skills to man-up against slot receivers and has keen awareness when called upon to blitz. It may seem out of the question for Nelson to come off the board this early now, but come draft day, he will have the type of meteoric rise that saw Donte' Whitner shoot into the top 10 a year ago.
8. Houston Texans (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/hou/) Marshawn Lynch, running back, California. He's just too good to pass up here, as he can run, catch and provide the big-play ability that only a handful of backs in the NFL possess. Adrian Peterson's name has often come up or been associated with this pick, but Lynch is a far better fit for the Texans' scheme because of his above-average hands. Also, both Gary Kubiak and Rick Smith have seen the type of instant impact a rookie back can bring as evidenced by the success of divisional rivals Jacksonville and Indianapolis.
9. Miami Dolphins (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/mia/) Brady Quinn, quarterback, Notre Dame. The Dolphins were close evaluators of Jay Cutler leading up to last year's draft and now sit in prime position to solidify the quarterback position once again. They have needs along the offensive line and at defensive tackle and safety, but those are likely to be addressed in free agency. Quinn is a good fit for Miami's marketplace, too, since he has a big name and the type of maturity and character to handle the South Beach lifestyle.
10. Atlanta Falcons (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/atl/) Ted Ginn Jr., wide receiver/return man, Ohio State. Bobby Petrino has been successful at every stop along the way, using a variety of schemes, formations and, most importantly, playmakers in a variety of roles. Ginn has been outspoken in his desire to play some defense at cornerback, so he'll fit right in with the Falcons' other elite playmakers in cornerback DeAngelo Hall, running backs Warrick Dunn and Jerious Norwood, and quarterback Michael Vick.
11. San Francisco 49ers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/sfo/) Amobi Okoye, defensive tackle, Louisville. The 49ers need to upgrade their defensive talent at cornerback and in the interior part of their line. In three to four years, Okoye will develop into one of this draft's best talents, and when he reaches that potential, he will still be only 23 years old. There is better depth at cornerback than interior line, so look for the 49ers to double-dip on corners later on.
12. Buffalo Bills (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/buf/) Aaron Ross, cornerback, Texas. The expected loss of cornerback Nate Clements in free agency opens the door for the Bills to find an ample replacement with Ross, who burst onto the scene with an outstanding senior campaign. He also can contribute to an already solid special teams unit.
13. St. Louis Rams (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/stl/) Charles Johnson, defensive end, Georgia. The Rams are hoping to upgrade a few areas, but none is more pressing than at outside pass rusher. Johnson was one of the best front-four playmakers, and he will wow scouts with his all-around athleticism, which will drive up his draft-day value.
14. Carolina Panthers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/car/) Lawrence Timmons, outside linebacker, Florida State. The Panthers' defense struggled after the loss of Will Witherspoon in free agency and Dan Morgan to injury. Timmons has amazing athleticism and brings the big-play ability Carolina lacked at the position this past season. The Panthers could also go off the board and take a guy like Adrian Peterson if he were to slip down this far.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/pit/) Leon Hall, cornerback, Michigan. The Steelers got burned on the outside several times last season and hope to upgrade the corner position through the draft. Hall may lack the straight-line speed of Ike Taylor, but he would provide Pittsburgh with better ball skills and toughness. Hall also brings the experience of having defended many of the top-rated receivers in this year's draft.
16. Green Bay Packers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/gnb/) Adrian Peterson, running back, Oklahoma. While Peterson clearly is a top-five or top-10 talent, teams in need of a running back could address other positions, meaning he could fall right into the lap of the Packers. They need to upgrade the position, but they may opt for younger, fresher legs instead of re-signing veteran Ahman Green.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/jac/) Adam Carriker, defensive lineman, Nebraska. The Jaguars need to spice up their outside pass rush, so the addition of Carriker, the best front-four defender still on the board, would give them a versatile prospect that can strengthen the play of their entire front seven.
18. Cincinnati Bengals (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/cin/) Darrelle Revis, cornerback, Pittsburgh. The Bengals are growing old on the outside, especially with Tory James hitting the free-agent market. Revis is a potential playmaker with no baggage, something that should be of more importance in their draft room this year.
19. Tennessee Titans (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/ten/) Robert Meachem, wide receiver, Tennessee. There will be several receiver options on the board, but the local talent may fit in the best. The former regime brought in a number of receivers, but none of them have become a primary go-to guy. And with Drew Bennett on the open market, the addition of Meachem would give Vince Young a vertical threat to grow with.
20. New York Giants (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nyg/) DeMarcus Tyler, defensive tackle, North Carolina State. The Giants could look for help at offensive tackle or running back, but their primary need is to find a run stuffer that can aid their ample pass rushers on the outside. "Tank" can step into the role as a rookie and secure the spot next to Fred Robbins, who is coming off his best season.
21. Denver Broncos (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/den/) Jarvis Moss, defensive end, Florida. Using the leftover linemen from the Browns the past few years has grown old in the Mile High City, so this year's goal is to find a pass-rushing presence. Moss, who has upside if he can gain weight and concentrate full-time on football, would give the Broncos the young pass rusher they desire.
22. Dallas Cowboys (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/dal/) Brandon Meriweather, safety, Miami. The leak in their defensive unit starts over the top in pass coverage. That's why Meriweather, with his all-around play, would be a huge difference-maker for a team that still has its eyes on a Super Bowl berth next season.
23. Kansas City Chiefs (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/kan/) Tony Ugoh, offensive tackle, Arkansas. The Chiefs went through offensive tackles at an unprecedented rate, and that slowed down their ground attack and ruined the rhythm of their play-action passing. Ugoh is raw in some areas, but he brings a wealth of athleticism to an aging line and the potential of becoming a future standout at left tackle.
24. New England Patriots (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nwe/) Jay Moore, defensive end, Nebraska. The Patriots are growing old at the pass-rusher positions, where Moore excelled in the postseason. He is fluid enough to play outside linebacker in New England's 3-4 scheme, and he is a bright, poised kid who can start right away if necessary.
25. New York Jets (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nyj/) Zach Miller, tight end, Arizona State. The Jets looked to fill this spot in last year's draft but missed out on the top prospects. Our mock has the tight end position sliding down the draft board, providing New York with the chance to add a prospect that can be a solid addition in terms of pass-catching skills and blocking ability.
26. Philadelphia Eagles (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/phi/) LaRon Landry, safety, LSU. With safety Michael Lewis set to move via free agency, the Eagles will look to find a replacement. Landry could be the one who gets paired with All-Pro defender Brian Dawkins the next few years.
27. New Orleans Saints (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nor/) Anthony Spencer, defensive end/outside linebacker, Purdue. The Saints have built a defense around speed and playmakers, but they are likely to lose Charles Grant in free agency. Spencer is a "hybrid" pass rusher who could play an important role off the bench during his rookie campaign.
28. New England Patriots (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nwe) Daymeion Hughes, cornerback, California. The Patriots like players that have solid character and production, and Hughes fits that profile. He could challenge to start as a rookie if Asante Samuel is lost in free agency.
29. Baltimore Ravens (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/bal/) Justin Blalock, offensive lineman, Texas. The Ravens are looking to find more consistency out of their interior blockers, a quality Blalock could provide short-term. He has the ability to step into the starting lineup if he keeps his weight down and his right knee healthy.
30. San Diego Chargers (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/sdg/) Tanard Jackson, defensive back, Syracuse. The Chargers will be on the hot seat going into next season, since most feel they have been the most talented team not to make an impact in the playoffs the past few years. Jackson would give them a versatile defender who could find a starting role at safety as a rookie and help solidify their pass coverage.
31. Chicago Bears (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/chi/) Greg Olsen, tight end, Miami (Fla.). The Bears have a few other holes, but they could use another playmaker on offense. The return of Tommie Harris and Mike Brown will help their defensive unit bounce back to full strength. Moreover, general manager Jerry Angelo seems to like playmakers from the state of Florida.
32. Indianapolis Colts (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/ind/) Jon Beason, linebacker, Miami. The Colts have allowed linebackers to walk during free agency, and that could happen again with Cato June. Beason would be a near-perfect fit for the Super Bowl champs and a great value pick if he slides to No. 32.
If this guy thinks Brady Quinn is going at #10
I think the Texans should get him before Miami does.
Hey where is Troy Smith?

I don't see some of this being correct. Like A.P waiting till the 16th pick? I see Houston picking him up bc they don't want another Reggie Bush fiasco. That and Brady Quinn I believe will go to the Lions or Browns. I would love to see Rufus Alexander (OU) go to my Patriots though.

I would rather see the Texans get another Quarterback that a running back.
David Carr is done.
I would think Adrain Peterson would go higher but most the teams ahead of Green Bay have pretty good RB's

5. Arizona Cardinals – Joe Thomas, offensive tackle, Wisconsin.
Other sources are confirming that we are going to get him but are worried that another team might snag him because he is so good. I doubt one tackle will complete the line but hey its a start, plus we dont really need guys anywhere else as we are good everywhere else except mabe special teams. Just look at the stats and how we choke right at the last second.
No matter what, it aint going to be as good as last year lol i was preying as much as i could in hopes that lienart went to the cards and it happened, heart was pumping!
There are also rumors that we might trade that to a team like the pats or falcons for 2 offensive line men or something.

Here is another mock draft from:
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html
1. OAKLAND RAIDERS-JAMARCUS RUSSELL
QB | L.S.U. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/qb/jamarcusrussell.html) After one of the ugliest seasons in recent memory, at least offensively, I guess you could say the Raiders "earned" the #1 overall pick. There are needs abound on the offensive side of the football but in the end they still need a top young quarterback to build around because Aaron Brooks most certainly isn't the answer and it doesn't look like Andrew Walter is either. Most teams still have Brady Quinn as the top rated quarterback in the draft but one of the few who might not is Oakland, in large part because JaMarcus Russell is exactly the type of physical freak that Al Davis is known to love. At 6-6 and 260 pounds Russell has rare size for the position and has been compared to Daunte Culpepper but what really stands out about him is his arm, which might be strongest at any level of the game. Russell is more of a project than Quinn but he has a higher upside and would help bring the vertical passing game back the Bay. If both Randy Moss and Jerry Porter are sent packing then Calvin Johnson just might come into play here as well but they really need a long-term signal caller to build their team around and after passing on Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler a year ago they simply cannot afford to pass on two more studs this time around.
2. DETROIT LIONS-JOE THOMAS
OT | Wisconsin | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ot/joethomas.html) There will likely be a lot of debate between now and April 28th about whether or not the Lions should take a quarterback here but at this point that doesn't appear likely. I personally have major questions about that decision because even though Jon Kitna had a nice season he turned the ball over a lot and will turn 35-years-old next season so he isn't exactly the long-term answer. If they do opt not to take a signal caller then Joe Thomas would certainly be an excellent choice for them and really upgrade an underachieving offensive line. A true left tackle who is a terrific athlete with outstanding feet, Thomas might ultimately end up being a better all-around prospect than D'Brickashaw Ferguson was last year when you factor in both his run and pass blocking acumen. Another option would be a top defensive end and if Matt Millen is really feeling crazy he could nab yet another wide receiver in Calvin Johnson but this choice will more than likely come down to either Thomas or a quarterback and it is looking like o-line right now.
3. CLEVELAND BROWNS-BRADY QUINN
QB | Notre Dame | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/qb/bradyquinn.html) You can definitely make the case that this team has plenty more pressing needs than quarterback and guys like Alan Branch and Adrian Peterson would both provide major upgrades at their respective positions but the bottom line is that Charlie Frye just hasn't shown enough to justify passing on an elite talent like Brady Quinn if he fell into their laps. Not only does Quinn have everything that you look for physically in terms of size and arm strength but he is also the total package when it comes to intangibles as he's smart, a great leader, extremely tough and is used to the media demands that come with being the public face of a high-profile team. You also can't underestimate the value having been coached by noted quarterback guru Charlie Weis and that pedigree will really work in his favor as Draft Day draws near. The Browns are going to have to get their offensive line straightened out but Quinn has plenty of experience playing behind a sub par blocking unit and he would also provide a major boost at the ticket office since he is a local Ohio kid and was obviously the subject of more than his fair share of headlines while in college.
4. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS-CALVIN JOHNSON
WR | Georgia Tech | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/calvinjohnson.html) The Bucs suffered through a very disappointing season in 2006 and the loss of their quarterback Chris Simms played a big role but a lack of playmakers on offense was also to blame. At wide receiver Joey Galloway and Ike Hilliard are no spring chickens while Michael Clayton has battled injuries and really regressed since his fantastic rookie campaign so it's not hard to imagine them jumping all over Calvin Johnson if he somehow fell this far. Johnson is truly a special player and one of the best wideout prospects to come along in the last decade or so. Combining a rare blend of size, long arms, speed and athleticism to go along with outstanding hands, ball skills, body control and leaping ability, Johnson is a force to be reckoned with and destined to be one of the best players at his position in the entire league. And then to top it all off he is also smart and has tremendous intangibles, displaying none of the diva-like behavior that we've come to expect from guys such as Terrell Owens. Johnson absolutely defines the term "Elite Prospect".
5. ARIZONA CARDINALS-JAMAAL ANDERSON
DE | Arkansas | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/de/jamaalanderson.html) The biggest slam-dunk of the entire draft would be Joe Thomas to the Cards if he were still available but at this point that looks highly unlikely at best. If Thomas is indeed off the board when they're on the clock then Arizona will be in a very tough position because there just isn't any other offensive lineman worthy of this pick so they could opt to trade down. If they do stand pat this pick could very likely come down to a defensive end, especially since Chike Okeafor is nothing special, Bertrand Berry has missed a lot of time with injuries the last couple of years and there is little or no depth to speak of. Jamaal Anderson hasn't gotten a lot of national attention yet but he is a premier prospect who is coming off a junior season in which he tallied 19.5 tackles for a loss and 13.5 sacks. A Richard Seymour clone, Anderson will come off the board somewhere in the top ten overall picks and might very well be Arizona's best option considering the lack of a top offensive lineman on the board. Alan Branch is a possibility as well but they opt for the end.
6. WASHINGTON REDSKINS-ALAN BRANCH
DT | Michigan | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/dt/alanbranch.html) The Skins had better make this selection count because they don't pick again until round five! Last year Washington took a major step backwards on defense and one of the main culprits was the line, where Andre Carter was basically a free agent bust and they didn't have anyone inside to team with Cornelius Griffin. In fact, they were forced to start rookie 7th round pick Kedric Golston at defensive tackle and while they do like him there is plenty of room for an upgrade. A terrific talent with outstanding size (6-6, 331), Alan Branch is similar to John Henderson and is far and away the top defensive tackle available this year so adding him would provide the type of elite presence in the middle that they have been lacking. A top defensive end like Jamaal Anderson and Gaines Adams would draw consideration as well and don't rule out a cornerback like Leon Hall if Shawn Springs is sent packing as a cap casualty as some have been speculating.
7. MINNESOTA VIKINGS-GAINES ADAMS
DE | Clemson | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/de/gainesadams.html) There is no denying that wide receiver is by far this teams biggest need but Ted Ginn, Jr. might be a little too similar to Troy "The Bust" Williamson for their tastes while Dwayne Jarrett would be quite a reach here and word is that Brad Childress doesn't believe in taking wideouts in round one anyway. Offensive tackle is also a concern but with Joe Thomas long gone there certainly isn't anyone at that position worthy of this lofty pick so instead they opt for Door #3, a defensive end. Despite having arguably the best set of defensive tackles in the league the Vikes failed to consistently get a pass rush last year and while Erasmus James coming back from injury will help they could still use an upgrade over Kenechi Udeze, who somehow managed not to notch a single solitary sack in 2006 despite starting 15 games. Heading into the season most assumed that Adams and Quentin Moses would be in a dogfight to see who would be the first senior end chosen but Moses struggled all year long while Adams flourished and it ended up not being much of a battle at all. Even though he isn't as stout versus the run as you'd prefer there isn't a better pure pass rusher in this draft than Adams and that's just what the doctor ordered.
8. HOUSTON TEXANS-ADRIAN PETERSON
RB | Oklahoma | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/rb/adrianpeterson.html) Some may be surprised to see Peterson fall this far but not only is it possible but at this point it's almost likely. While nobody doubts his phenomenal talent there are some major durability concerns with Peterson, who was never even able to make it through a full college season without getting hurt and missing time. There are few things that will frustrate a team more than an injury-prone running back which is why he's still on the board here. The Texans actually already have a solid running back with durability problems in Domanick Williams (formerly Davis) but he's coming off a major injury and can't be counted on at this point and they certainly can't go into another season expecting the likes of Ron Dayne, Wali Lundy and Samkon Gado to carry the load. Some may counter that Gary Kubiak comes from the Denver system and doesn't believe in using first round picks on runners but they failed to turn the also-rans they had into studs like the Broncos consistently do and Peterson is a rare prospect. Bringing in a local hometown hero like Peterson might also alleviate some of the pain the Houston fan base feels and help eliminate some of the ill will that has been aimed at the franchise since they took a pass on Vince Young.
9. MIAMI DOLPHINS-LEVI BROWN
OT | Penn St. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ot/levibrown.html) This just might be the toughest pick to project in round one but in the end it came down to Levi Brown, Amobi Okoye, Ted Ginn, Jr. and Leon Hall, with the offensive tackle getting the final nod. Would Brown go this high most years? Probably not. However he is clearly the #2 player at his position in this draft and there is a big drop-off after him so if you want an offensive tackle this may be your last chance. Physically Brown really has all the tools and could be the left tackle the Phins have been searching for since the Richmond Webb era came to an end. Miami has plenty of needs though and with Vonnie Holliday, Keith Traylor and Jeff Zgonina all slated to become unrestricted free agents there is a very good chance they could their top three interior linemen this offseason, which would make the position priority #1. The secondary's still a concern as well and don't rule out an offensive playmaker like Ginn either. In the end the offensive line is just too glaring of a need and even though this might be just a slight reach they really may not have another option because there more than likely won't be another left tackle who is capable of coming in and starting right away as a rookie available when they are on the clock in Round 2.
10. ATLANTA FALCONS-REGGIE NELSON
S | Florida | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/s/reggienelson.html) It's relatively clear that the Falcons most pressing needs are in the secondary, where Chris Crocker is only average, Lawyer Milloy is nearing the end of his career and there is little depth at either safety or cornerback. Reggie Nelson only has a couple years of Division I experience but he certainly made the most of them and was one of the true impact defensive backs in the college game this past season. A ballhawk and playmaker in the secondary, some feel Nelson could even play some corner at the next level but in Atlanta he would be a perfect upgrade over Crocker. Some may be surprised to see Nelson going this high and ahead of LaRon Landry but many feel he's the superior prospect and after the seeing guys like Michael Huff and Donte Whitner go in the Top 10 a year ago it's no longer abnormal to invest a premium pick like this on a safety. Intelligence is still a big question with Nelson and that could ultimately push him down a bit but right now he's easily one of the hottest names in the draft and a player who many covet.
11. SAN FRANCISCO 49'ERS-AMOBI OKOYE
DT | Louisville | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/dt/amobiokoye.html) You have to give Mike Nolan and this franchise a ton of credit because in just a couple of years they've improved the Niners overall talent level by leaps and bounds and really seem to be on the right path. With that said there is still plenty of work to be done and one area that needs to be addressed is the defensive line, where they still lack a true impact talent. The NFL Draft has rarely, if ever, seen a prospect like Okoye, who played in college as a 16-year-old true freshman and will still only be a 20-year-old rookie next fall despite having four years of Division I experience. Okoye is coming off a fantastic 2006 campaign and an eye-opening performance at the Senior Bowl so his stock is soaring right now and teams are falling in love with his upside, which is through the roof. Is he an absolutely perfect fit for the Niners? Probably not, especially when they go 3-4, but word is they aren't married to that scheme and Okoye is such a talent that he could very easily be the next Bryant Young for them. Wide receiver is a big concern as well, as is cornerback, but they need a difference maker up front and Okoye has a chance to be just that.
12. BUFFALO BILLS-LEON HALL
CB | Michigan | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/cb/leonhall.html) To re-sign Nate Clements under a one-year deal the Bills promised not to franchise him this offseason which means he is more than likely gone, leaving a gaping hole in the secondary at cornerback. There is not an elite cover guy available this year and nobody will confuse Leon Hall for Champ Bailey but he is just a very solid player who does everything real well and because he's widely regarded to be one of the top defensive backs available he will more than likely get pushed up draft boards a bit simply because of the emphasis teams put on the position. The Bills are also looking to improve their run defense but this would be way too early for Patrick Willis and it's still too soon to give up on all of the defensive tackles like John McCargo, Larry Tripplett and Kyle Williams they brought in just last offseason, although Amobi Okoye would be intriguing. At the end of the day Hall really is a perfect fit for the Bills and they would be pretty lucky to find the top rated player at arguably their greatest position of need still on the board in mid-round one.
13. ST. LOUIS RAMS-LAWRENCE TIMMONS
OLB | Florida St. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/olb/lawrencetimmons.html) Once again the Rams defense was abysmal in 2006, especially against the run, so the odds are they will be looking for some help in the front seven. Last year Saint Louis was considering linebackers like Ernie Sims and Chad Greenway in round one so they are definitely in the market for an upgrade over Brandon Chillar. Lawrence Timmons has been overshadowed by guys like Sims, A.J. Nicholson and Buster Davis throughout his career but when he finally got a chance to start as a junior he made the most of the opportunity, notching 18.0 tackles for a loss and 5.0 sacks. He is still very raw but all he really lacks is experience and eventually he could end up being an even better player than Sims. Workouts are going to be crucial for Timmons but if he tests as well as most think he will there is a strong chance that he could be a factor in the middle of round one. A top defensive end to compliment Leonard Little is a possibility as well but at the end of the day Timmons gives them a potential impact linebacker while also addressing a glaring need.
14. CAROLINA PANTHERS-LARON LANDRY
S | L.S.U. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/s/laronlandry.html) This is somewhat of a tough spot for the Panthers because the value on the board really doesn't match up with their needs. Their main weakness is probably at middle linebacker, where Dan Morgan's future is up in the air, but Patrick Willis would be a major reach here so that is really not a viable option. However safety is a concern for Carolina as well, with Shaun Williams only a short-term solution at best, so they take this opportunity to add the top rated player at that position in LaRon Landry. A true playmaker in the deep patrol, Landry is equally effective against the run and pass and just has a knack for being around the ball and making something happen for his team. There is talk that both Keyshawn Johnson and Keary Colbert could be sent packing this offseason and if that is the case then a wide receiver to compliment Steve Smith could come into play as well but John Fox is still a defensive minded guy at heart so with all things being equal he would defer to that side of the ball and Landry would be an outstanding addition here.
15. PITTSBURGH STEELERS-JARVIS MOSS
DE | Florida | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/de/jarvismoss.html)There are some big decisions that have to be made in the Steel City but regardless of whether they stick with the 3-4 defense they have come to be known for or make the move to new Head Coach Mike Tomlin's signature Cover 2 Jarvis Moss would be a great fit. If they do stay with the 3-4 the Steelers are going to need an eventual replacement for Joey Porter and Clark Haggans at outside linebacker, who are both set to hit free agency in the near future, and if they opt to make the drastic move to a 4-3 then they are going to need more traditional defensive ends. Either way Moss has the ability to be a great pass rushing force in either role depending on scheme. After battling the injury bug earlier in his career Jarvis Moss quietly emerged as one of the most disruptive pass rushers in the country in 2005 and he was then a key cog in the Gators National Championship run as a junior in 2006 when he made some really good Ohio State blockers look downright silly. Locating a glaring need on the Steelers depth chart isn't easy despite their rather pedestrian record last year so they could easily go the best player available route here as well.
16. GREEN BAY PACKERS-MARSHAWN LYNCH
RB | California | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/rb/marshawnlynch.html) A common phenomenon I have noticed in the NFL is teams with lackluster talent somehow finding a way to win a few more games than they probably should, thus taking them out of contention to land the type of elite player in the draft that they still need. Unfortunately for the Cheeseheads I'm afraid that might be the case with Green Bay this year because even though they finished with a .500 record at 8-8 they are still probably among the bottom 5-7 teams in the league when it comes to overall talent. That doesn't mean they can't land an impact player here though and Marshawn Lynch would be a terrific addition to their young offense. Similar in some ways to Laurence Maroney, Lynch has very good size, is a big play threat and some feel he might be equal or even perhaps superior to Adrian Peterson as a prospect. The Packers have plenty of needs though so you can't rule out a wide receiver, a defensive back or a defensive linemen but Lynch is a good value at this point and he could be the long-term heir apparent to Ahman Green.
17. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS-TED GINN, JR.
WR | Ohio St. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/tedginnjr.html) Right now the Jags greatest need is probably quarterback but there isn't anyone available who is remotely worth this pick so they will have to find another way to address that position. With that being the case they instead go back to the well in an effort to find a top wide receiver. Matt Jones, Ernest Wilford and Reggie Williams are okay but they need to add a deep threat with speed to stretch the field and compliment them and when it comes to that there's no one better than Ted Ginn, Jr. A big play waiting to happen with world-class speed, Ginn is a threat to take it the distance at any time whether it be as a receiver, runner or return man and he would add a whole new dimension to the Jaguars offense. He is still raw as a wideout which is why he could potentially drop this far but Ginn could also very easily land in the Top 10 overall picks as well so to grab him here would be a coup. Safety would also be a consideration since Deon Grant may leave as a free agent so don't rule out Reggie Nelson or LaRon Landry if they are available.
18. CINCINNATI BENGALS-ADAM CARRIKER
DE | Nebraska | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/de/adamcarriker.html) There is no doubt where Cincy's biggest needs lie and although the secondary is certainly a concern they will more than likely be looking to add a defensive end or defensive tackle first. A massive lineman at almost 6-6 and nearly 300 lbs., Carriker is versatile enough to fit in at either end or tackle in a 4-3 or end in a 3-4 scheme and after the performance he put on at the Senior Bowl he'd almost be a steal this low. By choosing Carriker here the Bengals will have some insurance in case Justin Smith leaves as a free agent and worst-case he will provide outstanding depth at end while also giving them a pass rushing dimension they currently lack inside at tackle. Cincinnati could also very easily go with a cornerback, a safety or even a linebacker here as well considering the futures of both Odell Thurman and David Pollack are very much up in the air at this point but Carriker is without question the best defensive lineman still on the board and probably the best value overall. Expect the unexpected with this franchise on Draft Day though...
19. TENNESSEE TITANS-DWAYNE JARRETT
WR | USC | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/dwaynejarrett.html) In the football world they often say that if you have a lot you more than likely have nothing and that just might be the case at wide receiver for the Titans. Even though Tennessee has a bunch of solid players at the position they lack that true #1 target and with Drew Bennett set to become a free agent this offseason the position could become even more of a concern. After bringing in Vince Young a year ago it really only makes sense to give him some weapons to throw to and you can bet both Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow know all about Dwayne Jarrett considering their close ties to the Trojan program. When it comes to size, hands, ball skills and production Jarrett has few peers in this draft but he will most likely be pushed down draft boards due to his lack of top end timed speed and the inevitable comparisons to Mike Williams. Regardless Jarrett is simply a football player who will get the job done between the white lines and if he falls much further than this someone will have themselves quite a steal. Cornerback is also a pressing concern and defensive line is to a lesser degree as well but Dwayne Jarrett may be just too good to pass up.
20. NEW YORK GIANTS-DARRELLE REVIS
CB | Pittsburgh | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/cb/darrellerevis.html) Last offseason the Giants underwent a massive overhaul in the secondary but in doing so they brought in aging veterans and journeymen and the results were not what was expected, with the G-Men finished 28th in the league in pass defense. It's high time for an infusion of young talent and with that in mind they use this choice to bring Revis into the fold, a talented and, in a lot of ways, a somewhat underrated coverman. Even though he doesn't get a lot of notice at the national level and might be flying under the radar to a degree right now Darrelle Revis is physical, a fantastic athlete with very good speed and a solid return man as well which should all add up to him being among the first handful of defensive backs chosen on April 28. If Marshawn Lynch somehow fell this far he could be brought in as a replacement for Tiki Barber, they could also use an upgrade over Luke Petitgout at left tackle and don't totally rule out a defensive tackle either but when all is said and done they have to add a top young corner and Revis would be perfect.
21. DENVER BRONCOS-QUENTIN MOSES
DE | Georgia | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/de/quentinmoses.html) Coming off a great junior season Quentin Moses was widely regarded to be one of the premier senior prospects prior to the 2006 season and some even felt he might be the best player regardless of position. My how things can change in less than six months. After a terrible senior year in which he was outperformed by his teammate Charles Johnson and may have had a case of senioritis it appears that Moses' draft stock is plummeting and unless he can really impress scouts between now and April there's a chance he could fall a lot further than this. There is no denying his natural athleticism (he's a former basketball player for the Dawgs) and ability though and if he can find a way to revert to the form he showed in 2005 some team could wind up with a steal on their hands. The Broncos have some pretty solid players at defensive end but lack a difference maker and at this point in the first round Moses just might be worth a roll of the Draft Day dice.
22. DALLAS COWBOYS-AARON ROSS
CB | Texas | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/cb/aaronross.html) The Cowboys have two clearly defined needs at offensive guard and free safety so some may be surprised to see a cornerback here but there is a logical explanation. Word has it that Anthony Henry will be moving to free safety, which is probably a good thing since both Reggie Nelson and LaRon Landry figure to be gone by this point. However by filling one hole with that move they create another at cornerback opposite Terence Newman, which is where Aaron Ross comes in. After biding his time behind a talented stable of Longhorn defensive backs for most of his career Ross finally got a chance to start as a senior and boy did he take advantage of the opportunity, coming through with a number of impact plays and winning the Thorpe Award in the process. A great athlete who can also contribute as a return man, Ross will need to run well in workouts to secure a spot in round one but as of now all signs point to him going higher than some would expect. A guard like Ben Grubbs or Arron Sears could both be options here as well.
23. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS-SIDNEY RICE
WR | South Carolina | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/sidneyrice.html) For years this franchise has been spoiled with outstanding offensive line play but those days have come to an end and with Willie Roaf retiring before last season and Will Shields set to ride into the sunset as well there are some major concerns up front. However it's highly unlikely that Levi Brown will still be available which means they will have to look in another direction so instead they opt for the true #1 wide receiver they have lacked for the last decade or so. Sidney Rice is still raw and inexperienced but he's loaded with potential and even though he will likely fall to the latter part of round one due to his lack of top speed he could very well end up being a steal for someone because he is a phenomenal talent. Offensive and defensive tackle will garner serious interest here as well and are probably bigger concerns but based on both value and need Rice is the best fit. He is not a sure thing but with his size, hands, ball skills, leaping ability and production in the SEC the potential rewards begin to outweigh the risks at this point.
24. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS-DWAYNE BOWE
WR | L.S.U. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/dwaynebowe.html) The turnover that New England has experienced at wide receiver in the last year truly is remarkable and while they have gotten solid performances out of the likes of Jabar Gaffney and Reche Caldwell it might be time to use some of their resources to bring in a top pass catcher for Tom Brady. The Pats essentially have an extra first round pick thanks to the Deion Branch trade so why not use one of those picks to bring in his replacement? Dwayne Bowe will likely fly under the radar to a degree because of all the high-profile underclassmen wideouts that entered the draft but don't be surprised if he goes ahead of a number of them. A big, physical receiver like Bowe would provide an excellent compliment to the type of guys that they currently have on the roster and I am sure Mr. Brady would be very pleased if the team gave him another weapon to throw to. Linebacker is also a strong possibility here and depending on what they do with their first pick they could opt for a defensive back but a wide receiver should be added at some point.
25. NEW YORK JETS-DEMARCUS TYLER
DT | North Carolina St. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/dt/demarcustyler.html) To say that the Jets made major strides in '06 would be a vast understatement but the rebuilding job is not finished by any means and they could still use a lot of help on defense, where they were middle of the pack against the pass and in the bottom third of the league against the run. The key to any good 3-4 defense is a top nose tackle in the middle of the line and while Dwayne Robertson is a very solid player and a former high draft pick he is simply miscast in that role. More often than not you have some major questions about a prospect when he doesn't emerge until his senior year but "Tank" actually has a legitimate excuse. You see prior to 2006 he played alongside not one, not two but three guys who were all first round picks in the 2006 NFL Draft (Mario Williams, Manny Lawson, John McCargo) and it really speaks volumes that he had his best season without the benefit of being surrounded by all of that pro talent. Perhaps no player boosted his draft stock as much as Tyler did past year and as arguably the best potential nose tackle prospect available someone will more than likely pop him in the first round come April 28.
26. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES-PATRICK WILLIS
ILB | Ole Miss | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ilb/patrickwillis.html) You have to give the Eagle franchise a lot of credit because even though they have been picking late in round one for a while now due to their regular season and playoff success they've still managed to draft well and build not only an excellent core of starters but also tremendous depth as well. Even though they don't have many glaring needs one position that does stand out is linebacker, where Dhani Jones has disappointed, Jeremiah Trotter is getting older and they haven't been able to find a capable guy on the weakside. Patrick Willis is an excellent athlete and one of the most productive linebackers you will ever find and he is versatile enough to project either inside or outside as a pro. In fact, so many teams seem to covet Willis that he could very easily be long gone by this point when late April rolls around. Another possibility would be a safety like Michael Griffin or even a wide receiver if Donte Stallworth leaves as a free agent but it might be tough to pass on the best linebacker in the draft if he fell into their laps this low.
27. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS-PAUL POSLUSZNY
OLB | Penn St. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/olb/paulposluszny.html) Linebacker has long been a problem area for the Saints and it's a little known fact that they were actually ready to take A.J. Hawk with the #2 overall pick last year before Reggie Bush unexpectedly fell into their laps. I think that speaks volumes about just how badly they feel the position needs to be addressed and while some may consider "Puz" a reach here I think this makes perfect sense. Paul Posluszny did not have the type of senior campaign that most were expecting but you have to remember that he was coming off a pretty major knee injury and also adjusting to a new position that he really wasn't suited for. Perhaps a very poor man's A.J. Hawk, Posluszny was real productive, has great instincts and his intangibles are off the charts which is why I feel he'd be an ideal fit for New Orleans late in round one. Posluszny is exactly the type of high-quality player and leader that you can build a team around and he could be to the Saints defense what Drew Brees was to the offense which is why this is a match made in draft heaven.
] (http://media.fastclick.net/w/click.here?sid=10932&m=7&c=1)28. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (f/SEA)-MARCUS MCCAULEY
CB | Fresno St. | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/cb/marcusmccauley.html) It seems like every year the majority of the mock drafts out there have the Patriots taking a cornerback in round one but they never address the position early in the draft. That has to change eventually, doesn't it? The next star the Pats might see bolt as a free agent is Asante Samuel, who is coming off a career year and will likely receive a lot of interest on the open market. If he does leave cornerback becomes just that much more of a concern but even if they do find a way to retain him some quality depth is still needed. Fresno St. coach Pat Hill has ties to Bill Belichick and New England has shown a propensity towards bringing his protιgιs into the fold in the past so the stars seem to align here. Marcus McCauley really is the total package physically and an even better prospect than his former teammate Richard Marshall (who was a 2nd round pick and is coming off a terrific rookie season with the Panthers) was a year ago. Even though he struggled at times as a senior McCauley has all the tools so he won't fall much further than this.
29. BALTIMORE RAVENS-BEN GRUBBS
OG | Auburn | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/og/bengrubbs.html) Top to bottom there might not be a deeper, more talented team in the league than the Ravens so they might be one of the few teams that can realistically justify going the best player available route. However no team is flawless and one area where they could use an upgrade is at offensive guard, where Keydrick Vincent has been a disappointment since being signed as a free agent and Edwin Mulitalo's replaceable. Ben Grubbs is a terrific athlete who actually played defensive tackle and tight end early in his college career before eventually moving to guard in 2004. Even though this isn't a sexy pick it would provide an upgrade and there are more than a few scouts who were enamored enough with Mr. Grubbs and his potential to stamp a first round grade on him. If Adalius Thomas leaves as a free agent then Jarvis Moss, LaMarr Woodley and Anthony Spencer could come into play as well and don't rule out Kenny Irons as a replacement for Jamal Lewis, who may be a cap casualty, but right now offensive line looks like a nice option.
30. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS-ROBERT MEACHEM
WR | Tennessee | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/wr/robertmeachem.html) In a 2006 season that featured a number of bright spots for the Chargers one that stood out was the emergence of Vincent Jackson as a nice young receiving threat for them. Even though he played very well in his second year it's important to keep everything in perspective and remember that in the end Jackson did only start eight games and finished the season with just 27 catches for less than 500 yards. Even if you do accept the premise that Jackson is a future #1 target for them there is still the need to add some additional help at wideout because Eric Parker is average and Keenan McCardell finally started to show some signs of his age by notching his worst season since 1994. Robert Meachem is coming off just a fantastic junior campaign (71 rec., 1,298 yds. and 11 TD's) and figures to blaze a great forty in workouts which could send his draft stock soaring. Safety is also a concern for the Chargers so someone like Michael Griffin could be an option as well but adding a speedster like Meachem could take this offense to another level.
31. CHICAGO BEARS-ARRON SEARS
OT | Tennessee | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ot/arronsears.html) In a surprise move the Bears devoted almost all of their draft picks last year to the defensive side of the ball despite obvious deficiencies on offense. All in all it's hard to argue with the results but don't expect to see them use that same strategy this time around as they will more than likely use the majority of their '07 selections on offense. Even though their offensive line was solid again in 2006 they have some guys like Reuben Brown and Fred Miller who are getting up their in years and it's time to bring in their eventual replacements, especially for Brown who is set to become a free agent and may even retire. Arron Sears is a very versatile prospect having played every position along the offensive line except center during his college career and he's coming off a fantastic senior season. The addition of Sears would not only strengthen their depth but also give them a potential replacement for either Brown (left guard) or Miller (right tackle). Chicago could also opt for a tight end and both Zach Miller and Greg Olsen would make sense and provide the team with an upgrade over Desmond Clark, who is solid but not special.
32. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS-JON BEASON
OLB | Miami (FL) | Scouting Report (http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/olb/jonbeason.html) It's hard to imagine such a good team having such a terrible run defense but so it goes for the Colts, who finished dead last in the entire league against the run and allowed opponents a mind-numbing average of 173 yards per game on the ground. The team is basically set along the defensive line for next season assuming Corey Simon returns but they can certainly help improve that run defense by upgrading at outside linebacker. Gilbert Gardner was a major disappointment as David Thornton's replacement and even though Rob Morris was a little better he isn't the long-term answer. To make matters even worse Cato June is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and based on their history (they let Thornton, Marcus Washington and Mike Peterson all leave when they hit the open market) it's far from a sure thing that he will be back in 2007. Jon Beason may not have the ideal size that you look for but he plays much bigger and Tony Dungy has had plenty of success with undersized linebackers before so that probably won't be much of a deterrent. One way or another they simply must address that defense here.
I think this one may be more accurate. As far as Brady Quinn and Adrian Peterson

March 6th, 2007, 09:09 PM
Vic Carucci's Mock Draft
http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/10040690
1. Oakland: JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
The Raiders are starting over at quarterback -- again. They could go with Notre Dame's Brady Quinn, but Russell's off-the-charts physical skills and arm strength give him enough of an edge to rank as the No. 1 quarterback in the draft. His massive frame is a plus, but his weight at the NFL Scouting Combine (265 pounds) was about 10 pounds heavier than the Raiders or any team would prefer. Of course, given their unpredictable history, the Raiders could go with a different position. Their draft board, like that of many other teams, might very well show Georgia Tech wide receiver Calvin Johnson at the top.
2. Detroit: Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
The Lions will be tempted to use their first pick on yet another receiver, especially after Johnson's highly impressive showing at the Combine. General manager Matt Millen also could give serious thought to selecting Clemson defensive end Gaines Adams, another prospect who gave a strong Combine showing. But of all of their holes, the most logical for them to plug with this choice is offensive tackle. Thomas, who is a superb athlete, is the best at the position in this year's college crop and should be a fixture on the Lions line for many years to come.
3. Cleveland: Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
Peterson is remarkably talented, offering tremendous burst and explosiveness. He is capable of making an offense instantly better, and that is the sort of help the Browns desperately need. Peterson helped himself with an impressive performance at the Combine, but his injury history is a concern. It might be enough of a concern for the Browns to consider Quinn, an Ohio native who wants to play in Cleveland, or Johnson or perhaps the draft's best defensive tackle, Michigan's Alan Branch.
4. Tampa Bay: Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
Although the Buccaneers have multiple pressing needs, Jon Gruden pretty much has a one-track mind when it comes to identifying the best way to improve his team. In Gruden's book, that way is to acquire a dynamic playmaker on offense. Johnson fits that description perfectly. The Bucs coach is feeling some heat to make his team significantly better, and Johnson would figure to make a great complement to the winner of the quarterback battle between free agent Jeff Garcia and incumbent Chris Simms.
5. Arizona: Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
Defense should be the Cardinals' focus, even though their new coach is offensive-minded Ken Whisenhunt. Adams, who has considerable speed and athleticism, looks to be the best defensive playmaker in the draft.
6. Washington: Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas
The Redskins need a defensive lineman who can bolster their run defense as well as rush the passer. Anderson is the most complete end in this year's college crop.
7. Minnesota: Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
Brad Childress enters his second draft still searching for a franchise quarterback. Having played in an NFL-style offense and received NFL-level coaching at Notre Dame, Quinn figures to be ready to play as a rookie. He didn't take part in Combine drills, but threw the ball fairly well during his workout March 4 at Notre Dame's Pro Day. If the Raiders don't make Quinn the No. 1 overall pick, he should be available here.
8. Houston: Levi Brown, OT, Penn State
The Texans know they need better quarterbacking than they've gotten from David Carr, and if Quinn is still on the board, they will have a hard time passing on him. One way they can help Carr, or any quarterback, is by upgrading their pass protection, which Brown should help them do.
9. Miami: Alan Branch, DT, Michigan
The Dolphins could go a lot of ways here. Quinn's a distinct possibility if he slips this far. If not, the Dolphins likely will address their aging defense. Penn State linebacker Paul Posluszny makes sense, too, because linebacker is a crying need. But if the highly versatile Branch -- who can play end in a 4-3 scheme or nose tackle/defensive end in a 3-4 -- is available, the Dolphins would figure to grab him.
10. Atlanta: LaRon Landry, S, LSU
New coach Bobby Petrino wants to add size and strength to his offensive line, so Brown is a possibility if he is available. If the Falcons stick with their board, Landry would give them the very best player at a position of need and one of the top prospects in the draft.
11. San Francisco: Jarvis Moss, DE, Florida
Moss is an excellent athlete who has the makings of an explosive and highly productive pass rusher, just the sort of addition Mike Nolan wants to make to his front seven.
12. Buffalo: Leon Hall, CB, Michigan
The Bills worked free agency hard to upgrade their offensive line, so that won't be addressed with this pick. However, they lack a satisfactory replacement for Nate Clements, whom they lost in the open market. Hall soared to the top of his position with a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the Combine, and Marv Levy and **** Jauron love his character. The Bills also will likely consider Mississippi inside linebacker Patrick Willis to replace another free-agent loss, London Fletcher.
13. St. Louis: Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville
Despite being only 19 years old, Okoye has four years of collegiate experience. He can be the stout run-stuffing presence the Rams desperately need.
14. Carolina: Adam Carriker, DE, Nebraska
For someone who stands 6-6 and weighs 298 pounds, Carriker moves extremely well, as he demonstrated with an impressive showing in the 20-yard shuttle at the Combine.
15. Pittsburgh: Patrick Willis, ILB, Mississippi
Willis shows excellent instincts and is a superb tackler, qualities that would seem to make him right at home in the diversified defensive scheme of new coach Mike Tomlin.
16. Green Bay: Marshawn Lynch, RB, California
After losing Ahman Green to Houston in free agency, the Packers need a running back. Lynch combines considerable power with good quickness.
17. Jacksonville: Reggie Nelson, S, Florida
The Jaguars could think long and hard about making an offensive pick, but that is not the nature of Jack Del Rio. He is set at cornerback, but needs help at safety. Nelson has good speed and athleticism. With some added bulk and strength, he could be an exceptional player for many years to come.
18. Cincinnati: Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas
Houston's 4.32 in the 40 at the Combine helped his stock tremendously. He should make a strong contribution immediately.
19. Tennessee: Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee
The Titans desperately want to add a receiver to Vince Young's arsenal. Meachem greatly improved his draft status by running a 4.39 in the 40 at the Combine and putting on an impressive display in pass-catching drills.
20. N.Y. Giants: Paul Posluszny, OLB, Penn State
Although Posluszny didn't show blazing speed, he worked out better than expected at the Combine. His intelligence and versatility make him a good fit in any defensive scheme. His unselfish attitude also makes him the kind of player Tom Coughlin loves to coach.
21. Denver: Anthony Spencer, DE, Purdue
Spencer offers tremendous quickness to go along with superb instincts and intelligence. He could be switched to outside linebacker. Either way, his athleticism is perfect for the Broncos' scheme.
22. Dallas: Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh
Revis, who also can contribute as a return specialist, shows good coverage skills and has the size and strength to help against the run. If new coach Wade Phillips can plug in Revis as a starter right away, he could move veteran cornerback Anthony Henry to free safety.
23. Kansas City: Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU
Bowe is a big, strong receiver who has the toughness to catch the ball in a crowd. His ability to run precise routes is an attribute that will likely make him a significant force as a rookie, especially if he is working with veteran quarterback Trent Green.
24. New England: Lawrence Timmons, OLB, Florida State
The choice here should be to fill a defensive hole. Timmons didn't run well at the Combine, but he was a productive college player.
25. N.Y. Jets: Greg Olsen, TE, Miami
After an impressive Combine performance, Olsen might already be off the board by this point. But his speed and athleticism would make him an excellent addition and provide an added dimension to the Jets' offense.
26. Philadelphia: Aaron Ross, CB, Texas
The 6-0, 193-pound Ross has the size and strength to effectively jam receivers at the line. He also has plenty of speed to hold up well in man-to-man coverage, which should allow him to make an immediate impact.
27. New Orleans: Marcus McCauley, CB Fresno State
McCauley has an impressive combination of good size (6-0, 200 pounds) and excellent speed, which he demonstrated by running the 40 in 4.39 at the Combine. He should help the Saints' efforts to cut down on giving up big plays, which happened too often in the playoffs.
28. New England: Ted Ginn Jr., WR, Ohio State
Ginn is a first-round talent, although he doesn't appear to be the top-10 choice that he was in some early projections. He didn't work out at the Combine and there is concern over the foot injury he suffered in the BCS title game. Ginn still should have no problem validating the tremendous speed he showed for the Buckeyes, but his receiving skills need work. At the very least, he should make an immediate impact as a return specialist.
29. Baltimore: Justin Blalock, OG, Texas
The Ravens' offensive line is getting old. Blalock would be a quality addition because of his power and aggressiveness, which he uses particularly well in run-blocking.
30. San Diego: Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina
Rice has dynamic talent that should allow him to enhance the Chargers' passing game, which needs another perimeter threat. The Chargers might be tempted to go with USC receiver Dwayne Jarrett, although he could have problems consistently gaining separation against NFL cornerbacks.
31. Chicago: Michael Griffin, S, Texas
The Bears' lack of depth at safety was never more visible than in the Super Bowl, when Colts receiver Reggie Wayne was often left by himself on deep routes. Griffin is an outstanding athlete with plenty of agility to turn and run. He's also big (6-1-plus, 207 pounds), strong and a willing hitter near the line of scrimmage.
32. Indianapolis: Charles Johnson, DE, Georgia
Johnson has enough talent, to go along with an exceptional work ethic, to help make the Colts noticeably better up front in his first season.

Things will change still. Brady Quinn had his first pro day at ND on the 4th. He passed from a variety of stances, drop backs and play actions, all the stuff the NFL guys wanted to see. He threw for 58 of 63. 4 passes were catchable but dropped and one was bad (just overthrew a little). You're going to see Brady Quinn in the top 5. He's having his second pro day on the 22nd.
By the way, JaMarcus Russel needs to lose some weight, the guy at the combine with the greatest physique was Quinn.
