Spiderman 4!

Yea thats right spiderman 4, you know with all the rumors of it being the last spiderman for the director and how the contracts might be up in the air. Well finally got some info.
Sony execs are impressed by the early cuts of “Spider-Man 3.” So impressed, in fact, that they are already talking to David Koepp, who wrote the first movie as well as the upcoming fourth installment of the Indiana Jones series, about scripting “Spider-Man 4.” It’s already been rumored that a fourth Spider-Man would feature Mysterio, likely played by Bruce Campbell, but Dylan Baker, who’s played Dr. Curt Conners in the first three movies, has indicated director Sam Raimi has plans for Dr. Conners to finally make his big turn into Lizard.

actually i read something WAY different from this, i read that the 4th Spider-Man movie Villian was going to be Lizard...but i guess it's just a rumor

The problem isn't the script or the director, those are you can change in and out...the problem is the actors...specifically Dunst who I doubt will be up for a 4th. Toby might opt out too if other directors are seeing him as tight-casted...which is like cancer for any actor. If he gets into another blockbuster between now and before they start pre-production on Spiderman 4 I can see him doing a 4th...if not, if I was him I'd stop after three.

But I wish that the main villain in 3 was Sandman and then at the end Spiderman tears the symbiote from his body and it flees into a trash can. Then at the very end after the credits, you see it get the photographer ( I forget his name) and the 4th one is all about venom

Remind me again how many blockbusters have gone onto a successful 4th...cause I can only name a couple out of dozens upon dozens that have failed and gone straight to DVD? And when I say, "if I was him", I mean if I was in his shoes...or is that concept too difficult for you to understand?

yea toby is only contracted for 3 movies...and i see a possibility of him stickin around for 4 but no more that than..and if Toby does op out, Sam Raimi said he would not direct another movie with another spidy actor...So MAYBE a 4th movie but dont expect any more than that. What i think is that one scene in the trailier when venom looks at the camera is the end of Spiderman 3 and spiderman 4 is all venom. If you think about it, its way to many villains in one movie. Harry,Sandman, and Venom?? i could be wrong but thats what i think

Hopefully not. Rami wants to keep the movies PG-13 and a PG-13 movie could never do Carnage properly. I'd be very dissapointed. I'd say we're likely to see The Lizard and Venom taking up the majority of space.

Yes omfg, seriously why are they chopping up probably the most important villan/ anti-hero Venom. I wish Spiderman4 will be all about him, and on a side note the shocker/mysterio/lizard or who ever gets to be in it but they get messed up. Venom is definately the coolest

I think Tobey Maguire is getting quite old for the role, I think they should cast that Milo guy who plays Peter Petrelli on the show Heroes as Peter Parker in a trilogy from movies 4 through 6.

DEAR GOD WOULD I LOVE TO SEE BRUCE CAMPBELL AS THE LIZARD!!!!

For the big Evil Dead fan that I am, the Spiderman movies are always filled with nice reminders of my favorite film trilogy. Sam Raimi's directing, added with the cameos of Ted Raimi and Bruce Campbell, make for a very good time.

In case you guys don't know, Bruce Campbell has been in the past two Spiderman films, and he'll be appearing in the third installment as well.

1st film: Professional wrestling ring announcer, coins the name "Spiderman."
2nd film: Rude usher at Mary Jane's play, only person to 'defeat' Spiderman."
