Man I added like 35 friends and now its telling me I've reached the limit.WTF....lol

Hopefully this will be updated in a firmware because this is WEAK. There is no way in hell I will only have 35 friends throughout 4-5 years on the ps3.

Well its different for you. For me I play Madden alot and im joined at 3 Madden community sites. There are alot of people I play online.

I also want to add people from other games 2.

Popular? A PSN user on your friend list has not to be your best friend. You can add a random guy in your list and !!DADAAA!! you have a friend.:-D

NO.. 35 IS NOT that max.. i believe 50 is. currently i have 39 on my list. im keeping it around 40 cause i dont want to cap it at 50, so sometimes i go ahead and delete afew ppl from my friends list that either i never ever play with, or i never ever seen them online(sometimes due to different timezones).

wtf? you only got 35? I hit 50 and it said I couldn't add anymore and that was like 4 weeks ago. I still have the 50 people limit because I delete people then add others (my friends). But I really do wish they increase the limit in the future. The only thing holding it back is the server capacity because your friend list is stored on the server so you can access it anywhere.

I cant see why people are going to want more then 50 ppl on their friends list! thats crazy.. but what is the cap of friends list on xbox live? i cant see it being infinite!?

No...I was saying 35 because I didn't know the exact number.

It doesn't make anysense though. Alot of people play madden online.,Then you have to factor in the other online games that are to be released later.

Why not have mnore space man? You are settling for less when you can get more. 50 max is NOTHING!.

They'll do it. They probably have 500k-1mill people on it right now. They'll add more as more come. They'll constantly be upgrading the infrastructure. I'm sure they'll have a huge-*** server room with like 100 of those puppies.

50*1mill = 50mill * 10 (avg. name length in bytes) = 500mill *40000 (messaging) = 20quadrillion bytes

That's 18.19 Terrabytes. Hmm maybe it's not that much server space? Maybe they expect more for messaging. I'm sure if they spent even just like 10000 $ they could get that amount. Hmmm.... I'm sure they'll upgrade it soon.

If they had the size of the PS2 network, just multiply the number by 100 (1mill*100=100mill which is PS2-size) and that's 1819tB.

I'd say 100 is reasonable, because it would be too hard to keep track any more than that - though 50 is a little low.

This can be easily updated possibly nothing to worry about, just more people should complain so they increase it.

I have MANY friends at this point, and 35 is indeed a very weak limit to have. They will definately update it in a firmware update.

I hope they categorize friends before they up the limit too much, so that when we have hundreds of them we can organize them into appropriate groups.

I agree a 100 is a good amount. A firmware update would be nice. And putting not just friends but EVERYTHING into Groups or SubFolders is KEY*, they need to add that.

If sony wants to have a fully unified buddylist, they need to add more than 50. If your in multiple clans over several games, you'll want to keep up with several people from each clan.

This could probably be easily updated and enlarged, March maybe?
