Submit a Controller Design

I was PM'd a really cool idea to have a contest where we will design the new PS3 controller since the final design has not yet been finalized by Sony. You can design something wacky or something a bit more realistic. The contest won't start until March 27th. so it gives you some time to come up with ideas and such. Anyone can enter the contest and the winner will recieve either skill points or something else...dont know yet on what I want to do...So....just letting you guys know that another contest is on the way.

Rules:
Same rules as all our other contests...meaning PG stuff
No size limitations
Also, you must post your own work.

but i messed around with design and functionality for a while...

mine was in entirely done in cs2. all you have to do is learn the pen tool, lighting and blending options

see, im not good with the pen tool... ive tried learning, but im just not there yet. Mine was just a DS2 obviously and i changed it up in CS.

Contest rules are same as past ones....although no size limit to this one...preferrably not over 2mb in size. Also the contest ends this Sunday.
I see we already have 1 entry. Hopefully all of you will join in. They dont all have to be realistic. I would like to see a few goofy and creative ones as well or maybe designs you think would be the best for console gaming...

Dude that's actually pretty awesome. I wouldn't mind if they keep the DS2, but update the buttons and stuff. That would be pretty nice. This will be a very interesting contest to bring up after the final design is revealed and see whose the closest.

Now did I say the contest ended on saturday or Sunday? Anyway, you might as well choose from all teh entries since there are only 3-4. I just wanted to see some creative thinking...no biggy really.

Be warned, I hand-drew my custom 'controller' because I have no 5k111z in photoshop yet (Though I do have PSCS2, Flash MX 2005, AND Illustrator CS2) so I simply drew the thing and labelled everything as best as I could, sorry for any illegible letters in advance.

Sorry for the late entry, I just stumbled upon this thread 2 hours ago, and I am new to these forums.

This is a CONCPET controller and is not to be taken seriously (Don't mind the date, my camera resets its data when IT feels like it, not ME). Where I am, there is still 37 minutes before the clocks ticks down to midnight, so I guess I am still qualified?

My scanner stopped working a couple of weeks ago so I had to take this photo (at least my Digital camera is decent, 6.1 MP!)

So here it is, the power glove, if at first it doesn't work, call it version 1.0 and this sure as hell isn't going to work!

So here's how it works:
This thing is called power glove 1.0, the idea came to me through a member of these forums, who said something about a glove, and I went "ping!"

SO basically, this is a glove that fits over your hand, all the points of articulations (labelled) are installed with blu ray sensors that communicate with other sensors in the glove to indentify the pose of your hand. The eye toy will track the glove and send the location of your hand to the PS3 for processing. So in the end, shooter games will require you to make one certain pose with your hand to shoot, one pose to reload, one pose to melee etc.

I'm no techy, and what I said above are just a concpet, how hard will it be to make that work? very hard! (probably) :D
