Edit : What A Muppet I am - cant spell and did not check poll bit -

Would you purchase a game without trophies now ?

by the way how does one edit the poll title ?

I was wondering , after reading the bioshock throphy support thread, how important is having this feature for you to buy the game, is it like no trophy no game etc...

1. No Trophy - not buying that game !
2. Thropy - dont give a rats bottom about trophies
3. Only if the game a True AAA title will buy without throphy support.

Im just going to answer myself, i cant answer that poll. Its just weird.
I would buy a game without trophies, but i would prefer it to have trophy support. All games should support trophies from now on.

I probabaly wont buy any old titles that i missed first timne round either unless they get patched. And since i have turned into a trophy ***** after only one game... I guess i will only buy games with trophies unless, like said... they are elite (but for them to be true AAA titles - i cannot see them leaving out trophy support).

although trophies are great, i don't think it will be the deciding factor for me. i would buy a game with no trophies, but only if it's a game i want and if it is better than the game with trophies. i will always go for the games that are better multi player online, because i play a lot online. trophies are a nice add on and do keep competition alive between friends, but they are an add on none the less.
if people start buying mediocre games because they have trophies over a much better game that doesn't have trophies, then that will be a step in the wrong direction for gaming as a whole.

I'll just take games that i like, trophies will be an added bonus but they will in no way change my decisions.

I voted for "dont give a rats bottom about trophies". Really, trophies are nice and all, but is not the deciding factor for me to spend $59.99 on a game, though it does add to the replayability factor. On the other hand, a game that is only $9.99 and now supports trophies, i.e. SSHD? I'm sold! Seriously, trophy support did push me to actually purchase SSHD and upgrade from the demo. :)

If a game looks bad *** and worth picking up, why should the trophies/or lack there of sway my decision? It's a new day in gaming when someone bails on a game simply because it doesn't have trophies...that's....kinda...lame? :-|

I will continue to buy games I want to play.

Wither the game has trophy support or not doesn't effect me. Now if a new favorite game emerges I may continue to play it in order to get the easier trophy's but the days of cursing and being frustrated by a game to finish it (Sonic 2) or collect something have passed for me. I play everything on easy, I want to enjoy a game not spend $60+ on something to be mad at.

I have the demo for Super Stardust and wont be buying the full game to unlock some trophy's. If I wanted the game I would of bought it months ago when it was released...

If the game is trash, I wouldnt buy it just for trophies.

I will buy good games regardless of trophies. BUt the amount of time I play them may increase if they have trophies, as I will try to get as many as reasonably possible.

The Trophies are actually sort of important to me. If FFXIII doesn't have Trophies will I still buy it...Of course I will! But I will be disappointed. For the Trophies to actually be worth something and not a sham, every game needs to support them like MS does with its achievements.

Sure I would, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want it to have trophies. I just wouldn't sit and wait months on a new game release just for trophy support.

But from here on out, all new games better have trophy support. Especially multiplatform games since they have already implemented Achievements.

I mean, I didn't really care about trophies or achievements before. Don't get me wrong, I love them and I want them all, but I'm not going to base my purchasing decisions off of trophies alone. If a game is crap, but it has trophies, I won't buy it. If it's awesome with no trophies, I'll still get it.

I voted I don't give a rats *** because there was no better option. I like trophies, but just because a game doesn't have them doesn't mean I won't buy it. On the other side I won't buy a game I am not interested in just because it has trophies.

What he said. I love getting Achievements and will love getting Trophies.

Hurry up, devs. Patch those Trophies!

if a game is good and it doesn't have trophies, thats fine with me...if a game i usually might not buy has trophies, then i may consider buying it...the only reason i bought SSHD was to get trophies..turns out that game is pretty **** fun..

What I may end up doing is if there is a pause in the release of games that I want to buy, I might have to hit the rental store and choose between games. I'll pick a trophy game over a non trophy game.

For Developers to improve games, very! It makes people want to replay games, and make them love the game even more than they already do!

If I know the game is going/is good and, lets say, I've been waiting for it's release for, lets say, a year, I will obviously be purchasing it if it doesn't support trophies. And if it does thats great to. ;)

Only if it was like a very good RPG since I'm really wanting a RPG...

But look at it this way: Say two games in the same genra come out the same month. One has trophies, the other doesn't. Both are pretty good games. Which one would people be more inclined to pick up? The one with trophies most likely.

Trophy support or not. It will definitely not affect my decision to purchase a game.

I will only buy very good games anyway. Trophy support is important. I want a reason to to play other than to beat the game.

For me its the game itself.
Trophies would be an added bonus, but thats it really. If i like the look of a game, i buy it. i brought stranglehold...

I'd buy a good game whether or not it had trophies but if there were two mediocre games and one had trophies and the other one didn't then I'd probably buy the one with trophies.

Trophies and Achievement points mean nothing at all except showing how much you play and how far your willing to go to get them. These tactics by Sony and MS only bring in more money for those who want to have a big gamer score they just buy and rent game after game. In the end, its all about the mighty dollar.

I pretty much need trophys because I'm so used to achievements. It's rather stupid, but the heart wants what it wants.

To just throw in my two cents, games such as FFXIII are a must buy for me anyway, but Trophies will be a deciding factor on which games I buy over others. Not only are trophies enjoyable to receive and work for, but it also shows that the developer put as much content that was possible into the game and that is the sign of a good developer imho.
