Today's update is the Cagney expansion.
This does NOT include Trophies.
Criterion have said the Trophy patch will come out after Cagney. When exactly after though is anyone's guess.

It's a shame that the trophies won't be on this update. From the perspective of a gamer, and sony wanting to introduce people to the idea of trophies - the timing is perfect. It would not bode well if we had SSHD trophies now, and had to wait aaaaages for any more games to include them.

that is not in this update if you check www.criteriongames.com (http://www.criteriongames.com) it tells you roundabouts the date of release and what it includes so far. davis is next and that has bikes and night time feature. eastwood is after that and has the new island. hey atleast criterion is doing this in a timely manner and it's FREE! noone else does this i mean come oneveryone knew this was coming and burnout is one the few games fully prepared with music trophies and new online game modes.
EDIT: ok guys i am sorry for the misinformation. i read on their website that the update included retroactive trophies but apparently i am wrong because it is not in the update are on their website. sincerely i am sorry. good news though xbox 360 update has been delayed. LOL how does that feel M$!

On the last podcast they said that trophies wont be with the Davis update, whether that mean it'll be before or after it know knows. They did say however that are working on them as we speak so fingers crossed that it'll be before davis.

can someone answer me this, the awards you get in burnout, after doing certain things, (they kinda pop up like the xbox 360 achievements do) are they gonna be them retroactive trophies?
It would be good if they were i have quite a few now, and i got burnout recently, looking forward to the release of trophies.
ManaBurnX
July 16th, 2008, 07:55 PM
Yes, the trophies for Burnout well be retroactive so anything you've already done will automatically reward you with the trophy for it. The reason they can do this is because the PS3 save for Burnout is locked to your PSN name.

Well - i now realise they promised motobieks in Cagney then changed it Davis...
So Davis is coming end of August and they specifically said Trophies will FOLLOW Cagney but will not be with Davis so in between the two is a certain. Seeing as Ubncharted is releasing trophies mid-August; presuming they went into testing as the same time, i say Mid-August is a safe bet for Burnout too.

I salute you sir... *Takes off hat and salutes*
I have my C licence and out of 60 awards only have 18... I have 9 cars out of 75? I really do suck at this game =(
Anyone wanna get me all the awards before the trophies release O:)
VintageElise
July 18th, 2008, 10:15 AM
9 out of 75 and your on C?
Everytime you get a new car, do the burning route for it. You will get a new car then. ( Well an upgraded version that counts as a new car )
The challenges suck! It takes ages to do some of them.
Alfrayer
July 18th, 2008, 10:24 AM
Erm - i dont mean to go off topic from trophies how i dont suppose you would be able to explain to where i can find the burning routes for a certain car :D or do i have to go around to every single one and try and find it?
VintageElise
July 18th, 2008, 10:28 AM
When you have the car you want, If you look on your map you will see a circle with a star in it. That is the burning route for the car you are currently driving.

I'm so glad the trophies on this game will be retro active - 65 hours of play time has got me 95% with 57 out of 60 trophies unlocked - just need to do a showtime on every road to unlock the last three trophies and then I'll have the 101% :D You have no idea how annoying the x10 & x20 speed chain trophies are and the x40 stunt run trophy.....

If you want any tips, then the best advice is that if you wanna get the speed chains easy, there are two ways. The first is that if you have a friend who plays online, you can set up a race with no traffic and then don't follow the race and just boost oncoming down the insterstate until you get to x20 :D Unfortunately, all my friends sold the game a while back, so I had to go down the interstate with traffic :( But, if you start an event somewhere else offline then when you're going down the intertate there will be significantly less traffic than usual, making the x20 chain much easier. For the x40, I managed to do it by going across the bridge and flat spinning every jump, then jumping across the dam and back (also flat spinning), go up the windy road and do a double barrel roll off of the massive jump back down towards the bridge, then double roll into quarry and keep flat spinning and rolling. Also you can drift around inside the stadium doing 20x boost chain. Or at the gas station (Angus Wharf) theres a corner that when you dry into it (it wont wrck you), you casn just carry on boosting into the wall to get as full 20x without even moving =] check youtube for videos explaining how to do both.

You are probabaly right - i aint played it properly since it was released... But you can always drift round in a circle to get the full 20x boost chain.
