The manager at my local Gamestop said its starts this next coming Sunday. I live in the US.

they are droping the 20 gig to 299. and they are comeing out with a 60 gig for 349.
once the 20 gigs models are gone. they will only sell the 60 gig for 349..
so the 299 price is just to get rid of the 20 gig modles.. this is what a gamestop manger told me

Interesting. I wouldn't know what to buy if I needed one because the extra 40 gb would come in handy.

Does anyone have any idea what the arcade is going to sell for? Are they dropping the price for that one, or dropping it completely?

They'll probably drop it completely.

I think MS's plan is to drop the arcade and release this affordable starter pack, so all those with the arcade can pick it up and have a hard drive. This way, MS can start allowing developers to do required installs (more often then they have already).

This is a great move by MS. Limit the amount of non hard drive systems, lower the price and all in time for E3. Should be a nice push of consoles through July. Also a great set up for the Holiday season. Sony will have to drop the price of the PS3 in order to stay competitive.

are they/will they still make elites? i want to get one eventually, or at least a 120 gig hdd.
