Im having issues with my dual shock 3 controller that came with the MGS4 bundle. the (X) button sticks down from time to time. Anyone know some home remedies to help prevent the button from sticking?

Exactly the same thing happened to me and my mates with the X button on a SIXAXIS but with the Dual Shock we now all have analog sticks that get stuck lol! Couldn't do anything to fix the X button, but the analg sticks are easy enough - just get a thin wire and slide it around inside the hole for the analog stick lol - always works for me :D

1st off- bad pun *cue groans*.

You could try unscrewing the controller and wiping off the button/contact point. Don't yell at me if you break it though :lol:

Sometimes the rubber under the x button (or any button for that matter) can wear out easily. To tell if that's the problem, hold the controller upside down (so that the face of the controller is facing the floor) and push the x button. If it still sticks, then you'll need to disassemble and clean it out. But if gravity has done its job and has pulled the button down, then it's the rubber wearing out. In that case, it will need to be replaced.

This happened to me also, what i did is got a pen lid and the long part on that, try and force that down by the X button and wriggle it around ;) worked for me anyways (Y)

Ok so i got my ps3 mgs4 bundle with the wireless dualshock and it worked fine untill i got rock and and i am sure this where it went wrong. well i plugged it into the 1st slot not thinking and well now i cant use the regular controller because it wont stop scrolling down!! +( i cant play my mg4 altho i have beat it twice. can anyone help me please that would be very nice thanks =)
