How many of you would band together to e-mail developers to patch trophies in?

We all want trophies! Their awesome, but only one game supports them!! What can we do about? We can ban together and flood developers inboxes with e-mails asking to patch trophies into their games! Look it worked with PixelJunk Monsters! (http://ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=151376) WE NEED TO START AN INTERNET REVOLUTION! It seems like a lot of the third party developers are pissing on the idea of trophies, they are all coming out saying they will not patch their games with it, but I bet if we flooded them we requests they would do it. So, who's with me?

In addition to having the email addresses, people will be more likely to send it if the email itself is already written up for them. This way all people would have to do is copy and paste it. Plus this would lessen the chance of people going on incoherent rants aimed at the developers who we are trying to get to do something for us.

I was half joking! Am going to write some standard email I could send to those developers. I suggest you do the same and also that while we trade ideas it would be best to keep our email different and original from each other. That way it does not look too much like a coordinated effort.

It's not that hard to write something up quick, but here's something fast if people want to use it, or if anyone wants to add to it, plus using the actual games in the email (like if someone is emailing Insomniac mentioning Resistance and Ratchet by nbame could help):

As a gamer and a big fan of your games, can you please update your PS3 games to have trophy support? Not only is there alot of gamers who will buy games just to get those extra trophies, it could also sell any expansion packs and add ons that the games have had on PS Store.

Activision error is because you got to input an email address in the "from" line instead of your name.

EDIT I just finished sending the last emails am going to hunt down some more contact info.

I did put in my email address - if you put in your name it says invalid "from" feild or something. I get an email (to my email adress) from them that goes straight into my Junk mail box. Check your junk mail as well, you never know.

This is just a small number of people on the forum though, you gotta remember that they said pixle junk monsters requests were so vast that they kind of saw they had to put it in. There was no thread for that? Chances are, LOTS of people are already doing this, and everyone counts, if you say yes, someone else with your attitude will alos say yes and so more and more and more will email and we get LOTS :D And get better trophy support!

trophy support should at least boost sales of games somewhat. i don't own ratchet and clank, but i would buy it if they added trophy support. i don't own drakes fortune, but i plan on buying it whenever they patch that game. i can see myself doing this for many titles i missed just cause of trophys. whether the developers think it's worth it, who knows, but perhaps emailing them will get them to reconsider if they were leaning toward not worrying about it.

I agree with that I think they would sell more games if they add Trophy support, I'd be willing to play some games I never would have before for trophies. I've always been a XBL achievements fan.

If developers won't take a half-day's worth of time to implement trophies and Custom In-game music then they don't deserve my money. There are several games out there I haven't bought yet cause I knew Trophies were a comin and foresaw this event. I'll speak with my wallet in terms of supporting developers whom can dish out a little more than the average grunt for my $60.

However I will email and at least try. I'll dig around for Konami's email cause the one game right now I care about trophies for is MGS4.

Nothing says "we want trophies" like a DDoS attack. That'll force something, if not a response of action.

First Uncharted and Warhawk are getting trophies. Second The beauty is that all the third party games already have Achievements for 360! They just need to convert those to trophies for PS3, all the scenarios are already programed into the game they just need to make them compatible with PS3.

Which is what is funny. I just read that the devs of Civ Revolution will notbe adding trophy support to that game. Why? They claim because Sony released plans on adding it too late after they are already finshed to implement it, that it's a big task to do. Now, don'tget me wrong, butI know the 360 version has achievements, so surely they had implemented them into that version.

Companies are in it for the money. That's obvious. We just have to convince them that 1. There are alot of people out there who want trophies, and that people will buy the games that support them. SSHD is a good example to use.

Ok, to the person who wrote the 1st post, I modified it here. The reason was that I added relevent games from each company, so people know easily which games to mention (I also added some soon to be releasing games, so we can mention we'd like trophy support for those games).

I also found some emails you couldn't like Infinity Ward, added Clap Hanz, Incognito for Calling all cars, and Criterion Games (to thank them as the 1st 3rd party dev to offer a patch, they deserve a thank you and if enough people email them word should spread that gamers appreciate it).

I'll try to find emails for the remaining missing ones soon.

Ok, to the person who wrote the 1st post, I modified it here. The reason was that I added relevent games from each company, so people know easily which games to mention (I also added some soon to be releasing games, so we can mention we'd like trophy support for those games).

I also found some emails you couldn't like Infinity Ward, added Clap Hanz, Incognito for Calling all cars, and Criterion Games (to thank them as the 1st 3rd party dev to offer a patch, they deserve a thank you and if enough people email them word should spread that gamers appreciate it).

I'll try to find emails for the remaining missing ones soon.

Its not dead. How do you want it to be organized? I said let's start a revolution and gave the emails of major developers and told people to write them. I don't know how much more organized it can get than that.

I love that game - it really should be patched. I mean, they inluded the same achievment system as Xbox 360, so why cant they just port the achievments on the system already in the game to the trophy system? Would be a pretty simple patch in my opinion.

Note how bethesda says "currently no plans to patch the game". That shows that if they think there's desire from gamers, they'll more likely consider patching it. I also mentioned Fallout 3 in my email to them, asking them to have trophy support in it when it releases, but they didn't mention anything about it.

So make sure you get emailing people. :D

Lil Mermaid Girl... Its funny - these developers (with the exception of Q games) appear to have automated responces to trophy requests - surely that means they have alot of requests yet they are still so negative?

Also your email from q-games sounds a bit more negative than mine - he just tried to convince you to buy Eden haha.

Oh and i know you're a fan of The Darkness - have you got an email from 2k yet? I think they totally ignored me.. Thats at the top of my want list of trophies :D

To be honest, we're all going to get trophies, having a sissy fit at devs to get out patches for games they're done with is not going to convince them, they've got better things to do.

However I do think it'd be a good idea if devs could tell us if they are going to patch their games or not, and if yes, then when.

Hell yeah, we need all the trophies out there to be shared with the community of all PS3 owners, i think they could have spend 2.4 another couples of months to store more trophies, in-game music, private chat in-game etc..
But thats life so you have to get use to it.
