I wonder if they removed all people and traffic because the Wii couldn't handle the load...

I'd guess it's a combination of freeing up cycles for the character and world models, and simplifying the game so you can focus on skating.

Yeah. Skating the city freely and building your own spots.

I'm more hyped for Skate 2, the first one was awesome. I'll tell my cousin about Skate it, he wanted to buy skate but didn't want to buy a 360.
