HElp please

Immediatley after 2.4 was released my ps3 was fine and i played with it and turned it on and off without any problems. Well today i turn on the ps3 for a few seconds and turn it off by holding the button near teh disc drive. But it doesnt turn off, it just sits there with the green light blinking and no video on my TV. so i go in the back and hit the switch. then i go back and test it again, and the same thing happpens again, and i have to go turn it off from the back switch. Any one else have this problem and anyone have a solution???

Sorry to hear your having problems, at least the problem is that it's not turning off, not turning on! Ring sony stat

I had this problem a few times ,60 gig euro launch btw.
There would be no video or sound on my t.v. ,the controllers would not connect/see(blinking red lights) the ps3 and the power button on the front was unresponsive.

I was forced to switch it off at the back.

So I shut it down, disconnected all wires and stuff and left it there for a few mintes.

Then I restarted and everything was fine! But maybe I was lucky, anyway if that doesn't work, ring Sony, I think their number is in the ps3 manual or on the box or somethin.

I pulled out all the wires and it seems to have fixed the problem, thanks
