Just started SSHD right.... started the second map, got to x9 , SOOOO nearly x10, like one more rock, and i just get owned by them centrepeed things ! ffs... i was playing for like 10 minutes too... ill start on the 1st planet next time... ffs... not today though.. cba now. :2gun:

I completed that challenge on the first map and i only just got it on the last boss, where the world explodes. My hands were sweating so crazy. I couldn't hold it in! I had no shield, I managed to get it though. I was so proud :D Gold trophy yeayh

I didn't really have a technique towards this. The multiplyer like you say, gets higher, slower. So the only way to solve this is to pretty much destroy everything, as this is what adds to your m'plyer.
A helpful tip is if you see a 'Ship; icon, wait for it to turn into a shield. This is so important! Its how I did it

Shoot everything as fast as you can and play in normal as the multiplier seems to go up quicker. And make sure you don't die basically :mrgreen:

It didnt take me anywhere near a hour to get this one, lol.
I got it on the 4th round of the 4th world, i remember because after i got it i died a few secs later, lol.
play on easy and play defensively. A good idea is to play with the gold melter from the first world. i always max that out so by time iam on the second world i can blow through all the gold rocks, and start to work on my icesplitter for the 3rd world.

Getting 5x Multiplier is cake, you can do that in like 4 stages of a planet. After 5, each multiplier increases in difficulty, all the way up to 10 which is, as far as I've seen, the max multiplier you can get. 8-9 and 9-10 can take up as much time as it would take to go from 1-6, if not more.

I don't really know of a "trick" to do this trophy, aside from just not dying ._. Also, if you are soley going for this trophy, use bombs sparingly(whenever I play SSHD I always save up all of my bombs in the first "round", then when I start over again in harder difficulty I start using some of them, dunno if anyone else does this)

Does getting the green points rocks add to your combo? Why are they mostly points but occassionally ship/shield/weapon upgrade? It says they degrade, but is that only after you explode them? I very rarely get ship or shield, but get weapon all the time.

Well the game wouldn't be very hard if they gave out shield and ship token's all the time :lol: I don't know about the green rock combo question but, i'm pretty sure token's degrade only after you explode the green rock's.

I just did it on my first try on easy. I was going for that one, the 5 x shield one and the 20 x bombs one. Managed to get all of them although I didn't see a trophy notice for the bomb one.

My tip is to play on easy but start on the first level. I managed to get the 10 times multiplyer on the fourth planet, phase four.

The Gold Melter is by far the best weapon as it's very effective against the gold and ice. I also like the Ice Splitter because of it's fast rate of fire. I only use the Rock Basher against the rocks.

I got lucky with the 10x multiplier.. as soon as I updated to 2.4 and 4.0SSHD I jumped in for a game of Normal Arcade, breaking my previous record by about 40 million and unlocking the 10x multiplier.. took me well over 10 minutes though.. was at about the 4th planet from memory..!

It took me awhile to get it, i did it on easy and got it on about the 4th planet, i think, and then i finished the games and got about 60 million points.

it was pretty easy started on easy planet 1, make sure to get a shield and keep it at all times try not get hit , if you do get shield try to break all of the big rocks that have green rocks in them and see if the shield pops and if it does just boost into the shield. Getting the ship tokens are useless just wait for them to turn into a shield token, and keep going till planet 4 i believe and phase 3.

Same here I was on the last planet starting from the 3rd planet and I got hit by a rock I was so pissed off as well oh well i got the last 2 bronze trophies for finishing the planets at least it takes a long time to get to 9x after that it takes forever to get to 10x.

I did this one today as well. It just takes some patience and a little practice beforehand. It's a great feeling seeing a nice gold trophy in my stats. I did what others have said here, just started on planet one, and went straight through until phase 3 or 4 of planet 4.

I got that one on the 3rd planet phase 4 I think but it just depends on how quickly you can get constant kills to make the multipllier go up quickly.

I finally got this tonight, took me 2 days. I was pissed when I died at 9x on the 4th level!

My best tip would be, get all your guns to 200% and just keep collecting those gun upgrades to stay there.

My right hand and thumb hurt so much.

It seems to me that once you start shooting a big asteriod, the faster you destroy the green the more likely you'll get something more then points. I am not sure about this, but it seems like when I miss the green and get it later they are never weapons. When I am really powered up and smash the asteriods fast they seem to give more goodies.
