I live in Canada and i really don't know who to call,
My Ps3 Freezes and goes to a black screen right before any game starts.
My warrant has run out
I have a Japaense Ps3 which i bought from a friend and i am really pissed.
Do you think sony will repair my PS3 for free or give me a new one. If not how much does it cost. And im in Canada.

The only way you will know is if you call Sony and ask. I think thats what everyone else will say also.

Hmmmm tricky one that, errrrr you bought a japanese Ps3 but you live in Canada, ive said this loads of times now, go onto the SONY's website and look for something called continous play, (actually im not sure wether you get it or not but have a look anyway) you can cover your ps3 against damages etc for £5 a month (about $10 to you i think) get yourself registered on that, and you should pretty much straight away be covered, then get in touch with them.

(if this continous play isnt offered in your region, i suggest you get in touch with sony and explain the problem)

sorry can't be of anymore help

Continuous play is only available in europe, not NA, secondly, yes, why do you have a japanese console.

to the thread, I live in Canada and suggest that you try to call sony and tell them that your PS3 broke down, they usually dont ask for a reciept, if they do just say you lost it, if they demand a recipet say you will call back.

OR

take it to the sony store, the clerk will give you a number and place to take it to (E-Link, in brampton i belive), take and see what happens!

Other than that, good luck and hope things work out!:)
