Obviously I can't give +rep if I've given it to you in my last thread, so...

I started to setup my TV, it was scanning for the channels, & because it was taking a while I assumed it was picking up the freeview channels (it has freeview bulit in, supposedly). After it finished, I started messing around with the controller, but I found that it had only found the standard TV channels (5 of them), and a couple of other badly tuned ones (the type you can find on normal TV, but is too ugly to watch).
Anyway, I tried reading the manual, it says nothing about freeview channels, I've checked the internet, & everywhere I check says it does have freeview.
I'm frustrated... help... :pale

The TV:
Amazon.co.uk: Samsung LE32R87BD- 32" Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV - With Freeview - Black: Electronics & Photo

is there not a button on your remote control that says DTV?

Not sure this helps but the review at the bottom of the page suggested this:

When playing freeview for the first time remember initially to pressTV/DTV button.

Lmaooooo, thanks. +rep

I knew when I got frustrated I seem to miss the small things, but wow... I swear I pressed that button before.

I have the slightly older model of your TV (the R74) and there's a button below the numeric pad labeled "TV/DTV" that switches between them. There's also the "CH MGR" and "D. MENU" which are Channel Manager and Digital TV Menu respectively.

That should help you ;)

I've got a Samsung very similar to that one. What is Freeview?? If it's the digital broadcast your talking about - as per the previous post, there should be a button on the remote labelled "DTV/HDTV" or something similar - this will switch between the tuned analogue stations (crappy looking TV), and any tuned digital stations.

*edit - well and truly beaten to it, lol*
