Whoever thought that it was a good idea to make this trophy silver was having a laugh, i must have tried around 40times now and get so close but the last bomb carrier takes so long to come down and you have to deal with them red triangles which isnt possible for long with a billion other rocks floating about.

I dont understand how this can be silver and the co-op one a gold when you can apperntly just sit there for 3 minutes and do nothing to get it! Btw on that note anyone know where i can get the download to get that trophy because ive heard its been taken off the store?

10x multiplier is easy compared to this. Today I had 14 bombs, could see the ship went up to it used my bomb, and only 1 came out. :-| I feel so bad right now.

I tried that 1 today I got to 6x on the 1st world in arcade mode and 7x just as I started the 2nd world phase 2 and everything comes flying down I boosted to a safe spot but 1 rock managed to hit me.

I was right pi**ed off on 3x off too I reckon I would have gotten to 8 or 9x before the 3rd world.

a decent tactic for the late boomer trophy is follow the first one until the first set of bad guys appear, and just as theyre about to appear, move to the front of the ship ur following then the rocks and the first set of bad guys should crash near that ship therefore giving u 2 bombs without the need to use a bomb to get them,

this helped me to always get close to 15 but still, 15 eludes me ive been close so many times :cry:

Yea, this one was the hardest for me to get (took like a whole day...) but I managed to get lucky and the mines destroyed two ships for me...and I used a bomb on the next one....

Oh, and I'm guessing that the co-op trophy is gold cause it'll make more people buy the add-on...I know I wouldn't otherwise....

This one is truly one of the hardest in the game. It should be gold. i can only get to 13 before i die. I heard its a good idea to wait for two to come out before you use your first bomb, i only managed to do that once

Oh, a little trick that kinda helped: When there's a bunch of stuff on screen, press pause to plan out what to do and avoid giant pebbles of death....

The 10x multiplier is rather easy, actually. You just have to be patient.

I got it today, coincidentally also broke my old score by about 30,000,000 points :x.

The most frustrating one though was when I had 14 bombs I saw the ship dropping down I used my bomb and only 1 of the 2 in the ship came out :| I died moments later, and I felt like crying.

Don't give up. I just got the "Survive 7 min. on Endless" a few minutes ago. Just keep resetting it and for the first minute or so you can fly around and touch nothing. Then the last 5 and half minutes or so is keep moving, shooting and bombing.

Yay! I just got Late Boomer myself! I now have all the trophies except Brothers In Arms! o/
Late Boomer took med 160 tries though. And getting it was of course mostly luck. However, I wasn't even able to get to 12 bombs without a guideline. I used http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/showpost.php?p=5553&postcount=21 as a guideline, and it did help me alot. I was unable to pull off exactly what he wrote, but there are no definite solution to this trophy anyway, I guess.
When I got it, I had the mines blow up the first car to get 2 bombs for free, then I manually bombed the second car and got 1 more bomb, and then I tried to get the next batch of mines blow up the third car. And they did (that was definitely 100% luck!), and I finally got 15 mines. Hope this helps someone.

Much is down to luck too - where those bombs ships spawn are key.. sometimes if they're really close or you leave them until they loop around you can get lucky and knock out two ships in one go too 8)

I read this in another post and it helped me get Extra Ships Optional:

Sometimes fairly early on (about 1-2 minutes into it), the small, somewhat purple-ish round space ships come down. It's different each time you try the game, like sometimes the very 1st wave is ice or gold, so you have to just wait till you get lucky and get those ships to come down.

But once they do, use the Gold Melter and just turn it around in a circle over and over. I did that for 5 minutes and it worked (I had already been playing for about 2 minutes before the ships showed up so only had 5 minutes to go). The ships won't touch the gold melter bullet line and they won't be able to come any closer to you if you just keep circling. I thought that swarms would keep coming regardless if I killed stuff, but they didn't since I hadn't killed those ships.

I only counted 8 nukes and had no lives left and about 2-3 bombs, more and more asteroids and enemies were filling the screen i was desperately shooting in all directions and using bombs then i saw the nuke drop and so i was going towards it and then died, at the point i was about to start again but luckily my death took out the nuke and it was actually the 10th not 9th :D so to my suprise i got the trophy

now i just dread trying to get this late boomer :(

This Late Boomer trophy is HELL I tell you, LOL. I have tried so many different times it's not even funny. Hopefully I'll get lucky soon. I haven't even tried to get the Nuke one being that I'm almost sure I can get it.

When the little ships come down that shoot at you, leave 1 alive and run from it, for me nothing else would drop down. Just had the 2 green jobs that sit in one spot and that little ship chasing me until I saw the trophy notification pop up, then I killed the ship and all hell broke loose.

Late Boomer is driving me crazy! I didnt even have to try half as many times for ANY of the other ones. I was HIGH as **** when I did both Extra Ships Optional and Shock and Awe.....I dont understand why I cant finish this one. It doesnt take much skill but luck, luck, and some more luck!

So explain why I got the "Well Prepared" trophy. You need 20 bombs for that one. Obviously I got 15 bombs but I still did not recieve my "Late Bloomer" trophy.

Yeah I was confused about that at first also. Unfortunatly you will find that getting 15 bombs in bomber mode is eleventybillion times harder then getting 15 bombs in arcade mode.

For the 7 minutes one, just blow the nukes as fast as you can until you get to the after-nuke stage where a big circle of blue things come down along with a ton of red triangles. If you do not get this (and get "meteor storm" or something instead), just blow the next nuke as quick as you can and hope to get lucky.

When you DO get the circle of blue things + red triangles, first boost out of the center of the circle as fast as quick as you can. Next, DO NOT BLOW UP ANY RED TRIANGLES. They will chase you but just keep moving in one direction. After a certain number of red triangles are destroyed, rocks and other enemies start falling so just don't kill any to be safe. If you keep moving and don't blow anything up, it will be just you and the red squares (and maybe a bomb ship) for as long as it takes to get your trophy.

Best advice is just stay close to the ships when the red bombs are dropping and guide them to the ships. Dont use any bombs if you dont have to..

It feels so good to finally get it though...I didnt think it would ever happen...

I couldnt of explained it any better then that. You cant just do it on any given try, ships have to drop in a certain place, you have to be in a certain place. I finally just told myself im not going to use ANY bombs. I could get to 14 on EVERY single try (almost) Then way to much stuff would drop down and I would die.

My tips (Doest work with everyone):

For me I used the red bombs to destroy the first one with out using any of my supply. I just stayed kinda ahead of the bomb ship, got really close when the red bombs were coming down and they destroyed it. So I had 12 bombs total.

I ended up having to use a bomb on the second ship but my plan was to get it destroyed by the bombs, I could never do it. So I had 13 after 2 ships.

This part is when I finally realized I had to let the bombs destroy it. It will take a little while for the 3rd ship to come down but right before it does a bunch of gold rocks come down in 1 spot and then a whole bunch of red bombs drop with the ship. They all destroyed the ship for me and I picked up my 14th and 15th bomb (I went CRAZY to, I was screaming like a little *****...funny stuff).

For me it worked best when I was outside the blue rock circle but I was ALWAYS right by the edge. If you like it inside then more power to yah but if a ship drops a little way out there your screwed!

Yeah I feel the devs were a little cruel putting this one in. It is a total perversion of the core gameplay because you are supposed to refrain from using the one and only defensive weapon you have. Pretty messed up.

I almost gave up on this one a few times. But it really did feel good to get it.

It's worse when the 2nd ship drops so it's traveling in the same direction as the first ship, but it's 1/3 the way around the planet so the two will never be close enough to get both with one bomb.
