help on MIC +rep

i just bought a logitech headset wired and it only works on voice change and the connecting screen. i tryed in game and in chat room but i get nothing
someone please help +rep

Its a wired headset? If so you still need to go into the accessory settings and tell your ps3 to use your logitech headset as the default output and input so the earphones and mic will work.

If you can screw around with your mic in the voice changing setting then you definatley know its hooked up. Have you gone into the options in BF:BC or is it like MGO where you have to hold down select to activate it?

It might not hurt to look in the booklet that came with the game.

Battlefield Bad Company is probably not the best game to try it out on since that game can be a bit touch and go as to whether the mic's will function properly. When you talk, have you looked up the Top Left of the game screen i think it is to see whether there is a Mic icon which means that you are transferring sound?


Try COD 4 if you have it. Or even GTA. These are usually good with microphones ;-)

Either that or Start a New Chat on PSN with someone and check it out ;-)

as Miney said, BFBC does have some trouble with ps3's voice chat system. try doing a chat session with one of your psn friends, or games like cod4 or gta4.

or try this atleast...now that u have ingame xmb, start your mic nd headphone..do a audio device setting, so u can hear your own voice from the headphones, then start an online game...go off back to accessory settings via ingame xmb, and see if its still enabled/connected. if it is, its working fine.
