Ok, so you have the trophy feature for the sake of it then? :? IMO they shouldnt have released 2.4 before patching, for starters, first/second party games like r:fom and uncharted for trophies, so that the feature had at least some use.

Its a bit of a shame - but you have to respect them wanting to focus on getting Resistance 2 out there.. 8)

I'll be playing through them both again when Trophies arrive though, that's for sure. You can bet they'll do it eventually :D

I think there is a big difference between Insomniac saying "We won't patch 2 games with trophy support, because we are actualy working to meet a deadline for one of the most anticipated titles this year" and Infinity Ward saying "We just won't patch trophies, and won't bother patching rumble either, as well as other issues that CoD4 has had on PS3, meh".

I am a bit disasapointed that Insomniac won't patch either title, but it's somewhat understandable. Unlike IW, they -do- have a very very tight schedule because their title has not only been announced(last I knew, IWs new game hasn't even been unveiled), but it has a release date which I am sure they don't want to push back.

On you're mimicking of COD4 complainers... I'd much rather them put the most effort into Resistance 2 than having them take developers off of that to patch in trophies for old games.

Now the difference here between Insomniac and Infinity War is that IW isn't working on a huge title right now. COD5 isn't being done by them so they could spare the extra few people to patch in some little trophies... they could even just copy the requirements to get achievements on the 360. I don't think it would be too hard... but of course I'm no developer.

I would love to see them add a patch to support custom soundtracks and more importantly, trophies. To be honest, if they are too busy with Resistance 2, then they could do the patch at about Christmas time, after Resistance 2 has launched in November.

Screw Resistance, but they should for Ratchet and Clank Future. That game screams for trophies.

basically sony titles will get trophy patches, it will tkae allong time for them to become the norm now. this is one of the reasons a open platform sucks, you have to rally everyone to do something. I honestly dont see the point in trophies. should have spent time on something else, cross game chat etc.

If anything, this is more Sonys fault, they should have had trophies at launch, then this wouldn't be happening right now and people wouldn't have to replay their games.

Dissapointed Ratchet isn't getting trophies :( Already have all skill points and golden bolts but I would gladly do it again, great game :D

Understandable though that Insomniac are focusing on Resistance 2.

I know that most of them are busy developing new games but this whole trophy support thing for previous games as well might be a bad thing or some could blame it all on Sony for releasing it so late :p

Wouldn't Insomniac assign a different team to address trophy patches? I don't see how work on Resistance 2 would deter them from releasing trophy updates for Ratchet and Resistance.

I agree with the notion that I would glady replay Ratchet again to get all the trophies. A brilliant game. Excellent game.

Maybe they will do it when they have Resistance 2 all wrapped up. I would gladly play through both games again for trophies.

They are gonna, but they want to have Resistance 2 ON THE RELEASE DATE! Lol. They are also working on a beta, so that may be consuming their time. They take time to polish their games and make them perfect.

I don't really care much about R1, though R&C would be nice it's understandable completely. I'm a big fan of Insomniac, looking forward to the upcoming title's.

It is a bit of a concern that first party studios are declining the patch for trophy support. That pretty much guarantees that most third party studios will follow suit.

Well, enjoy Super Stardust HD, I guess. It looks like that will be the only game that will support them for a long time.

they might patch it later. i mean i wouldnt mind if they patched it once the R2 went gold. that would give me an excuse to bust in R1 for the trophys and getting back in shape for R2. :) and ratchet should get a patch, that game is meant for trophys.

Now don't get me wrong, I wish Resistance was getting trophies to give me a reason to go back and play it again, but at least Insomniac has their priorities in the right order with trying make R2 the best it can be.
