Rock Band 2 Tracks Leaked

MTV Games has let the cat out of the bag. No song titles or new acts were mentioned during yesterday's confirmation that Rock Band 2 would be hitting store shelves for the Xbox 360 in September, but TV network (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=20629#) G4's X-Play gaming show inadvertently showed a song list in its coverage.
A screen capture was of course immediately posted online at ScoreHero (http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10929&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0). It reveals System of a Down's "Chop Suey," Red Hot Chili Peppers' Give It Away Foo Fighters' "Everlong," Kim Wilde's "Kids in America," Motorhead's "Ace of Spades," Cheap Trick's "Hello There," Journey's "Any Way You Want It," The Who's "Pinball Wizard," Blink 182's "All the Small Things," and Boston's "More Than a Feeling." The latter two tunes are already Rock Band DLC, though, so no big scoop there.
Further message board (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=20629#) posts at ScoreHero, supposedly by a game tester, claim to reveal even more tunage. Some of these songs (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=20629#) are: Linkin Park's "One Step Closer," Megadeth's "Peace Sells," Rage Against the Machine's "Testify," The Guess Who's "American Woman (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=20629#)," Billy Idol's "White Wedding," Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know," Jethro Tull's "Aqualung (http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=20629#)," Thin Lizzy's "Bad Reputation," The Go-Go's "We Got the Beat," Alice in Chains' "Man in the Box," and Soundgarden's "Spoonman." For more Rock Band 2 rumors, check out the full thread at ScoreHero (http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10862). Thanks to GameSpot for the tip (http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_blog_entry.php?topic_id=26466174&sid=6193296&action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;2).

Those are straight terrible songs to be included IN the game. This better have download support of home made songs or else this is a no buy for me.

Peace Sells and Man in The Box YEAHHHHHH!!!!! But I'll still buy GH4 first it'd be better than Rock Band 2.

Chop Suey! I don't know why people like this song I don't mind everyone has his own taste but nothing is so special about the song and the band according to me

Listen to the song Peace Sells and you will know what true music is !

I've just read that Drain You is rumored to be in the game. It's a great and a very cute song :) . AC/DC is there too :D.Testament , one of the greatest thrash metal groups of all time.

Its about time Rock Band is representing more classic rock. The DLC has been lacking ever since Judas Priest came out.

There's a lot of Win in that list. Granted no one will ever be completely happy with every song but they've got much of what can be considered quality for every genre of music they could get. Try to look past the dislike you have for Bands and think more about whether the songs they chose provide a varied and enjoyable gameplay opportunity for everyone envolved. Not everyone is going to want a tracklist full of Alice In chains and the same goes for the other side not wanting Alanis. Heck I think HMX is doing a lot to expose people to other bands, trying to push people out of their comfort zone and see what else they might like.

Awesome list, thank god they actually know how to pick songs unlike Neversoft. I mean, are people serious? System of a Down, The Who, The Guess Who, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machines, Megadeth, Moterhead, Journey, Alice and Chains, etc. I'd rather have this then most of the new crap music that's out there, sure they could have picked different songs by the artists but I could care less.

I thought this was only coming out on Xbox360 as a timed exclusive anyway? Or am I completely wrong?

Rockband will always be better than GH. I'm kinda annoyed that they have two downloadable songs though. Since I've already got them.

Its only supposed to be 2 or 3 weeks later

There will inevitably be songs YOU dont want, but guess what, they are trying to get more genres out there so more people will buy it. Personally Id rater have Alanis Morisette over some of the "Rock" music that has come out in the last 5+ years. Actually I'd love to see some Say Anything in this list, thats really the only newer songs that would be any good in my opinion.

Bet the leak is wrong, some of the songs on RockBand already (All the Small Things, More Then A Feeling), some are allready future DLC (The Who) for existing RockBand.

HMX has done a great job with song selection in the past (GH, GHII, Rock Band) so I'm sure RB2 song list will be awesome. Plus I can play all my current DLC on RB2, 30 + songs all personally picked by me.

Those that say GH4 will be better - We better wait and see, detail of RockBand not released.

I can't imagine they would duplicate songs that are already released on Rock Band 2. The track list is pretty good but I was hoping for some Led Zepplin, Van Halen or maybe some Rolling Stones.

I seriously doubt they would release songs already included in the DLC in the next game. They certainly have put together a solid set list for the other games. And with the increasing popularity of the series, we should expect more big names.

You have got to be kidding me. You would like to play the Ramones on this game. Why not a little more something..uhm.. yeah INTRICATE. Christ go pick up a regular guitar and play three chords over and over gain and you have your awful Ramones.

GH3 and GHA both have better setlists.

Besides Spoonman, Man in the Box, Testify, and Boston (which I already have for RB), I don't care for that setlist much at all.

Wow so music elitist facistism isnt just for the Rockband forums huh? Dude the point of the game is to have fun. is all you want is over complicated note charts stick to GH. People like the Ramones for their music who are you to say it wouldnt be fun to play?

As for the DLC on the list, I think you guys are missing the point the version they were playing HAD downloaded content, they're not saying the disk itself has it already. Remember DLC from RB1 will be compatable with RB2. If they doubled the songs on disk then you'd have duplicate songs on your setlist and that wouldnt make any sense.

That list is alright although it could be a bit better. Glad they got a Billy Idol and Linkin Park song in there. But I wish it was a different song other than "One Step Closer".

Sorrow, if that tracklist turns out to be true. Then RB will automatically defeat GHIV (in my books) especially considering I can get all the old songs from the first RB. Holy **** George Thorogood.

Too bad there's no GNR on there though. I would have loved to play Nightrain, Rocket Queen, Mr. Brownstone, Paradise City or Civil War.
