I agree. I feel that the difference between Sony and Microsofts 'surprises' is that Sonys 'Surprises' will come in the form of sequels to franchises that the Playstation fanbase holds dear to their hearts and is waiting for.
Microsofts on the other hand, I think they will show off some new IP's that will garner hype as the weeks go by.
Sony have the immediate advantage because they just know that any announcement they make is going to send fans crazy, whereas Microsoft still need more IP's to expand their 'franchises', in order to get the 'pop' that Sony tends to get at E3 every year.

That breeds competition. Competition means better games. Better games means Galvanise_ is a happy chappy.

I'm calling MS announcing another exclusive going MSs way that would have ended up on both the PS3 and 360. It seems like MS has been freeing up money to sign some more exclusives. I also predict they will announce a XBL feature to try and offset the hype FW 2.4 on the PS3 has been getting. My guess is they will show something whether it is ready or not to show that they aren't just sitting pat with what they have on Live.

Show off Fable2, Left For Dead, Gears Of War 2, Halo Wars, and maybe Rock Band 2 being is comeing out first on the 360. There will be some 3rd party games and maybe a suprise game tossed in there as well.

There was talk a long time ago about somekind of handheld system.

Im shure we will see a 60G 360 as well as maybe a limited edition Gears Of War 360 (Kind of like the halo one)

I think MS have something up their sleeve. They've been rather silent, and threw Gears 2 out there rather early (GDC). Something tells me they did it because the didn't need the Gears announcement to have a big E3. I'm guessing several third party games, as well as some solid first party ones. Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2, new Forza game? Tons of possibilities.

I would also expect some sort of hardware announcement. Perhaps a new controller, a price drop for sure. Some new Live features wouldn't be stretching it either. Tons of potential from MS, we'll just have to see what they have planned.

I agree, Sony was much more impressive last year (more impressive than MS & Nintendo). Especially with Home & LBP.

I think this year will be a lot closer though.

And the main thing I expect from MS is a price cut...and a few new game announcements. Lots of Gears of War 2 & Halo Wars footage. I doubt the waggle and blu-ray rumors; although, the waggle remains a possibility.

MS has a lot more going on behind the scenes i'm sure of it. There have been tons of rumors and I expect to see the MS-Mote controller, Lipps singing game(like Singstar), a revamped dashboard and a few gems not previously announced or leaked.

It was said "next financial year" but that started on July 1st onward...

Release is meant to still be October. Things change but R*/T2 are only working on the X360 version now as there's no technical aspects for Cell/RSX development time lost.

Sony hasn't delivered on much of anything they announced from 2 years ago.
I would expect more Home, LBP, Killzone, Africa talk again.. with resistance 2 being pushed and improved support with psp, maybe even psp2 announced. interested in what that Heavy Rain tech demo turned into. If that R* game is still exclusive hopefully some news on the game. Wipeout HD, Twisted Metal, GT, GoW,

it'll be a good show.
