The name of the song is Psychosocial, it has more melody than All hope is gone.
Its a great song.
Oh and there new masks are also in this webpage.

I maintain that they've not been as good since corey came along. 'Mate Feed Kill Repeat' was amazing, and the chorus of this song pretty much shows why I don't like him, not half as cool as the rest. Still like the music, though.

Why did Joey change his mask, the last one was so iconic and cool.

I see what you are saying but to me Andres or however you spell his name was never as good as Corey the only song that i thought was really great from him was Confessions.

I think Joeys new mask is one of the best ive ever seen him have.

Agreed 100%. Anders vocals and the experimental nature of the music, coupled with it being heavy as **** made for good listening.

Also agreed.

@alphaboss -how does completely changing your sound by adding in acoustic songs, cleanly sung choruses and writing a made-for-radio single (duality) in order to create greater mainstream success not equal selling out?

The fact that they were in the radio witht there very first album with the song of Wait and bleed.
They havent sold out they do what they want, and its funny how when ever a cd of theres comes out so many people say oh they suck but yet they are always number one in the charts for a whyle.
All i have to say you dont like them thats good for you, cause i love them.
I have all of there albums ive seen them live and i plan on getting this new cd as soon as it hits stores

Surely for a band as uncommercial as they were on MFKR, surely signing to Roadrunner and immediately 'coincidentally' writing a radio single and a rerecorded clean version is a sign of selling out?

Anyway, mainstream success =/= greatness - Crazy Frog was number one but I don't see you praising that

Tons of bands have written acoustic versions of their songs. Bands do what they want like Pgs said. If you've heard their new stuff, it's nowhere close to this new form of Pop-Metal.

But for many real metal bands this is a natural progression or a desire to experiment and try something new. But for Slipknot to go from what they were on Iowa to suddenly finding a ridiculous amount of mainstream success with a blatantly toned down album is pretty jarring and IMO indicative of a calculated drive towards higher record and sales and increased revenue

but that's you're opinion, not fact.

if you don't like Slipknot that's fine but you can't say they suck just because you don't like them.

anywho I like this song better then giving up hope. :)

They were already the biggest metal act of this decade even before Volume 3 came, Iowa, and there Self titled debut made them as big as they are know.

I've always liked Slipknot. I don't care if they are not the best musicians in the world, they ARE good. The thing is is their energy though. You really need to see them live before judging them. I liked them on CD but when I saw them live it blew me away, they are absolutely great on stage. If you don't want to spend a fortune to see them live, there is a good DVD you can get on Netflix (I forget the name, but search for their name and select any live DVD). Once you've seen them live for yourself or on DVD, then decide if you like them or not.

Froget what SnakesHead said about the DVD, listen to 'Do Nothing B*tchslap' or 'Confessions' and then judge this song. Nah, I'm sure the DVD is cool, but all band seem way better live, that's just the way live shows are, that's the point.

Did I mention I can play Do Nothing B*tchslap on bass? That's probably why I like it so much though, too bad the drums are so hard (apparently) because I was looking forward to playing it with my band...

It doesn't matter though, GWAR blow Slipknow out of the water anyway. :D

I've seen slipknot live twice and they really weren't that impressive. The band were tight as hell but corey was so ****in unfit and out of breath all the time he could barely sing.
Seriously spit it out was reduced to

Si...*breathe*...da...*breathe*...fir...*breathe*. ..pla...

it was pathetic

Do any of you have any idea how difficult it is to do what these guys do? Corey has laid down the most intense vocals ive ever heard in my life not to mention writing the most amazing lyrics ive ever read, you will notice on the earlier albums his screams were far more distorted, he didnt even sound human, I havent heard any other metal vocalist top that the closest to it is one of the pioneers of the style, Phil Anselmo. The guitar work has gotten better and better on each album and at this point they are laying down some of the best riffs in the genre, I dont even need to talk about Joey, anyone that cant see his talent is intentionally ignoring it. Yes they have changed, but they never sold out, no musician wants to do the same thing over and over again, Ive been playing guitar for about 6 years and my tastes have changed dramatically over time, As far as their live stuff, yet again they are absolutely the most energetic band ive ever seen, they put on an amazing show if you want it to be pitch perfect listen to their albums. The riffs on Vol 3 were fantastic, but the vocals were better on IOWA and they are blending the best of both of those albums on this one.

I always thought Jonathan Davis was a better metal vocalist than Corey. And I've been playing bass for about 5 years and my tastes haven't changed much. Sure, I listen to more bands, but the genre hasn't changed.

I heard though the reason why Corey's mask has changed is due to the fact that the mask in Vol.3 looked awesome but had a smaller mouth piece out or whatever its called so it was hard for him to sing live but now his mouth piece is bigger so it should be better
