Sorry, but I have never tried any sort of file sharing on my PS3 so forgive the noob question. My friend just recently bought the game and doesn't have the maps. He recently also just had a brand new baby so I was trying to save him so money because diapers aren't cheap. I was wondering if it was possbile for him to sign in to my account and download the maps to his system. Is this possible and if so, a brief tutorial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes. Just change your pass to say password or whatever unless you don't mind him knowing it then let him log on to your PSN go to downloads where you can see what you have downloaded click COD4 map pack and they will download to his PS3.
You can only download a total of 5 times though so once that number is up you have to pay for them again.
Also they wont work say if he has a PAL PS3 and you got NTFS or whatever it is.

Thanks alot man! We both have the USA version, whatever that is called, so shouldn't be an issue. Thanks again.

I'm glad you cleared that up because I thought you where only allowed 2 downloads before they charge you again.:D

I've done 4 so far and have been charged with 1 left to go. Everything you buy from PSN has a 5 download limit I think.

I believe you can deactivate a system and get your download back if you ever needed to do that. As for as sharing, make sure you leave your user name on his PS3. You don't have to save your password or anything....it just has to be there.

Remember that when you let other PS3's downoad from your account, that's the only PS3's that you can share with. You can't just let alot of different people download from your account.

I've used them on a few. 2 for me cos I have 2 PS3'S and 2 for other mates with one left free for me. 5 limit is not much to share around with loads of people and keep downloading it.

I tried to log on to my buddy's PS3 yesterday using my email and password to let him download the map pack. However it said something to the effect of "You cannot log in using another members user ID (email)"
What am I doing wrong?

Are you logging in under his account? That may be causing the problem
