Ok. In light of Wiifit and all that.. I just wanted to see who here exercise and what your work out consists of? (Whether it be running, or sports, or weight lifting).

Or, are you a frequent DDR user? Or are you a fan of Wii fit?

As gamers we always have to put up with this stereotype of an Otaku. Or that fat white child with thick glasses that sits on his lazEboy recliner and stuffs potatoe chips in his mouth while screaming at the voices in his headset.

Using internet acronyms and abbreviations in the irl.

etc

Here is me:

Age: 17
Weight: 196lbs
Height: 6'1"

Work out:

Type: Weight lifting

Bicep Curl: 160lbs
Tricep Extension: 180lbs
Bench Press (reg): 160lbs
Incline Bench Press: 240lbs
Butterly Chest Press: 140lbs
Forearm Raise: 45lb (per arm)
Shrugs: 235lbs
Lat Pull down: 205lbs
Row: 205lbs
Shoulder Press: 115lbs
Shoulder Extension: 150lbs

Day2

Leg Press: 360lbs
Leg Extension: 215lbs
Leg Contraction: 150lbs
Back Extension: 180lbs (Double the reps then normal)
Ab crunch: 115lbs (Double the reps then normal)
Captains Chair: body weight (Double the reps then normal)
Torso rotation: 110lbs (Double the reps then normal)

Home (everyday):
3 x 30 sit ups

I perform Day 1 twice, and Day 2 once per week (3 work out days total). I do not do pyramid sets, I use the same weight until the point of failure (until I falter\break, or 12 reps).

Your turn! Go!:)

I used to work out for baseball when I was in High school. I haven't really worked out in a long time, but for physical activity nowadays I play dodgeball, floor hockey, and just run.

Age: 19
Weight: 182lbs
Height: between 6' to 6'1''

I have no idea what I can bench press, but probably around 150 to 160 right now. If I could do 135 in 9th grade, I'm fairly certain I could do that now.

I weighed 200lbs a year from now today (then went to like 185 2 weeks later).

I don't work out as in like going to the gym and pumping iron. All my "wortkouts" come from playing Sports all day long. Sometimes I spend 12 hours playing basketball, 12! (From 9 to 9!).

I go for almost pure strength in my workouts.

Though I wouldn't call myself a power lifter. I do too many reps for that.

I just do push ups and sit ups every morning after I wake up. And then again every night before I go to sleep. You wouldn't believe how much it helps.

I make myself a banana milk shake ever other day(3 days a week.) Contains of 3 "plantains" lol, about 4oz of milk, and a spoon of sugar, with a cup full of dried oatmeal! AMAZING! (damn typed a lot .)

and im 5'9 or 5'8 at around 165.

I go to the gym occasionally. Right now I can only bench 115lbs. I'm amazed you can bench more on the incline than on the regular. Everyone I know has it the other way around. I'm also starting muay thai classes and I do 50 push-ups whenever I wake up in the morning.

Vulgotha
July 4th, 2008, 08:48 AM
I was doing incline about 2 years before I started reg. Bench.

Age: 17 (almost 18 )

Right now I'm an incoming freshman in college, and I'm on a football scholarship. I'm working out with the team right now doing their lifting and running exercises.

We lift Monday, Wednesday, Friday. We run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
When we lift, it's a full body lift, and each day it varies from a heavy day or a speed/explosive day. On heavy days, we'd do heavy bench, heavy squats, etc. But on speed/explosion days, we use lighter weights with more reps. Olympic lifts are on those days like hang cleans. On speed/explosion days we also add certain elements to some lifts. For example, we attach huge rubber bands to the bench (one band on each side of the bar, tied down to the ground) to add constant resistance when pushing the bar away, and for control on the way down.

For running, on Mondays and Fridays, it's more of a conditioning type run. We do a lot of sprints and cover a lot of yardage. Tuesdays and Thursdays we do a lot of agility and speed work.

Last week I weighed about 315, and now I'm down to 310. I want to be around 295-300 before going into two-a-days so I don't have a tough time moving around in the heat with all my pads on. Hah. That's going to suck.

How many exercises do you do per day? And then total?

I am really unfit, I keep trying to be good, but I always concede to the allure of engorging satiation.
I keep a spreadsheet, from 19/03/08 - 23/06/08 I did a daily average of:
18.4minutes of weightlifting,
26 minutes of football (quite frantic, on my own),
ate 3906 calories (roughly, maybe more),
started at 76kg (i'm 5'11.8"), now still the same at around 75kg (been down to 72 up to 78 ).
Slept an average of 8 hours 24minutes a night.

My username is quite suitable, shrews are quick, fat, high metabolism, high heart rate (1800bpm!!), 10% of their mass in the brain and they usually die young.

A few times a week I do one set of each of about 20 different lift types with a 20kg dumbbell. I'm sure not appropriate for strength building as I wish, feel free to enlighten me on the proper technique.

I wish I could be healthy, at least once a week I'll say, from now on i'm a slave to routine and can't do anything bad, but the same day i usually give up.

I'll post mines like Vulgotha.

Age: 15
Weight: 163lbs
Height: 5'7"

Work out:

Type: Weight lifting (5 Rep Maximum)

Bicep Curl: 80lbs
Tricep Extension: 110lbs
Bench Press (reg): 130lbs
Incline Bench Press: 100lbs
Butterly Chest Press: 90lbs
Forearm Raise: 35lb (per arm)
Shrugs: 110lbs
Lat Pull down: 95lbs
Row: 105lbs
Shoulder Press: 85lbs
Shoulder Extension: 90lbs
Leg Press: 200lbs
Leg Extension: 105lbs
Leg Contraction: 105lbs
Back Extension: 180lbs
Ab crunch: 115lbs
Captains Chair: body weight
Torso rotation: 80lbs

I do my abs with my female friend, who is insane when it comes to things like yoga and flexibility. Usually, we get around 250 ab exercises in (10 Different exercises, 25 reps each). This is done every other day on my cardio days. Speaking of cardio, I do things like Plyometrics, Yoga, and Kenpo.

I perform 6 days out of the week, dedicating the 7th day to just stretching.

Vulgotha
July 7th, 2008, 04:57 AM
you and I do alot of similar work outs Aaron.

MikeAaronB
July 7th, 2008, 09:40 PM
The torso rotation, ab crunch, captain's chair, and shrugs are the only exercises on that list I don't do regularly. Everything else, I fit into a weekly split.

Vulgotha
July 7th, 2008, 09:51 PM
I only work out 3 days a week, anything more then that is unhealthy given my exercises.

Though I do sit ups almost nightly, occasionally on days that I do my B workout, I don't want to overdo my abs.

Lol.. I've only ever lost 2 arm wrestles.

I don't work out at all really. I'm 23, 6 ft and i weigh 165 lbs. It's hard for me to put on weight by eating. So i don't really worry about it. Always nice to be able to eat what you want and not become a fat slob like some gamers out there haha. Although i wouldn't mind putting on about 20 more lbs

if that's the case you're lucky however you should increase your weight around 10-20 lbs and it should be lean mass..

I do a modified version of pound for pound. It basically consists of push-ups (two types), sit-ups, chin-ups, pull-ups and a 3km run.

you sound pretty big vulgotha. i dont know how anyone can do a 160 pound bicept curl...seriously? watch the weight though, i assume you're big enough and happy with your size so be careful. all that weight you do with shrugs and leg presses can be damaging....

i'm a naturally skinny guy with a fast metabolism. i play a lot of soccer. i try to run and workout but im so lazy it almost never works.

Vulgotha what's your diet like?. I do some weights but i'm gonna start to up the ante a bit, a good training regime is all well and good but as i'm sure you know your diet is as important, my diet's pretty good but I have to exclude eggs from mine, which is a pain in the *** cos it's good for lifting (I'm Allergic...).

3 Times a week:

Start at the corner of the arch, drive in and do a cut back crossover and pull up. Miss or make, sprint and get the ball. Wherever you retrieve it at, do the same thing. Do this until 20 makes, then take a break. Repeat until you make 100.

Then
10 foul shots
25 shots from left baseline
10 foul shots
25 shots from left elbow extended
10 foul shots
25 shots from right elbow extended
10 foul shots
25 shots from right baseline
10 foul shots
10 three pointers – left baseline
5 one dribble right pull ups
5 one dribble left pull ups
10 foul shots
10 three pointers left angle
5 one dribble right pull ups
5 one dribble left pull ups
10 foul shots
10 three pointers – center
5 one dribble right pull ups
5 one dribble left pull ups
10 foul shots
10 three pointers right angle
5 one dribble right pull ups
5 one dribble left pull ups
10 foul shots
10 three pointers right baseline
5 one dribble right pull ups
5 one dribble left pull ups

this should total
100 foul shots
100 jumpers (first section)
100 threes and one dribble pull ups

A lot easier than it sounds, but you do work up a sweat if your playing outdoors. Its helps if you like basketball, lol.
