Been googling yet again. I plan on buying this hard drive to use externally(assuming watching videos/listening to music on it isn't that slow).

With that being said. It's SATA2. But from what I've gathered, I can buy an enclosure like this one and it'll still work. http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=17167&vpn=NST-360SU-BK&manufacture=VANTEC
Thanks. I hope I won't regret this. I know I can't install game data on external hard drives. 80GB should be enough, right? Just uninstall games I don't play anymore..

I also bought a bluetooth keyboard. http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=28404&vpn=968011-0403&manufacture=Logitech
Would I be able to install Other OS(Yellow Dog 6.0) with this? Or do I have to install Yellow Dog 6.0 with a USB keyboard first then have to switch on the bluetooth in Yellow Dog to use this Cordless one?

I think u can copy game data 2 external sources as long as its in FAT32 format. If u couldnt then how would u get all ur save data back on 2 ur PS3 after upgrading ur HDD. With that being said, maybe u should just consider upgrading the internal HDD in the PS3 and then use the old HDD from in the PS3 for ur external drive...just buy a casing and ur good 2 go. I am assuming u haven't done the HDD upgrade yet. If u have then sorry for the reply...

Yea. So I do need to actually connect a USB Mouse/Keyboard. Gotcha. I need a cheap keyboard now. Hopefully I can pick up something refurbished somewhere. Or buy one at lame futureshop and return it...
