1. Which one should I get? I want to be able to play PS2 games on it.
2. I found all these 20 GB PS3's all of them were really expensive, then I found a site selling them for 350. Should I be concerned?

OK if you live in the USA get a 80GB ps3 if you want to play ps2 games :) and as for 20GB I don't think it's worth it IMO

but if you live in the UK the only option is the 40GB ps3 which does not play ps2 games or you could import from America but you won't get a warranty with it and if it breaks you have to pay for another ps3.

up to you though.

And thanks for the help bro!

The 20 is just dumbed down. The biggest thing is that there isn't a wi-fi connection. Its also missing the card reader, not a huge deal, and no chrome! But I would try to find an 80 gig.

alot of games require a hard drive install these days...with the 20 gb that is gonna get filled up pretty quickly. i got an 80 gig and half of my hard drive is full because of it! your best bet is to get an 80 gig. trust me the extra money you spend on it will be well worth it.

Hmm, so why is it so expensive on some sites? And basically all I'm lookin' for is a PS3 that plays PS2 games, and I can play online with and of course play PS3 games. No biggie. Not looking to store stuff on it.

20gb/60gb ps3's play all ps2 games

80gb ps3 might not play a few

Well if you can find a cheap 20 gig and a wireless internet connection isn't necessary, then you could go ahead and get it. The reason that pretty much everything but the 40 are so expensive is because they aren't really in production any more. They are doing the Metal Gear Solid 4 80 Gig bundle right now, but thats the only 80 Gig you can find. The 60 was stopped a long time ago, and the 20 even before that. The 60 and 20 are the only models that emulate PS2 games through their hardware. 80 is through software so its not as reliable. And of course the 40 doesn't have any B/C. If you wanted to, you could always buy a bigger hard drive for the 20. Relatively cheap and easy to do!

Hi Guys! I have to agree with Raiden there. I have a 20Gig and I upgraded to a 60 gigi HDD. and now I believe in some instances I have a better machine than what's out right now. I got the "Full" PS1/2 Backward compatability and 4 USB ports as for the cards You can do the same things with an adapter through a USB port. As for WiFi you can do it through extra hardware if you really want to. Plus I have the larger HDD I put in. I also happen to have bought it at launch and it seems pretty reliable.

I think I'm probably going to get the 20 Gig one. Because if it plays all PS2 games, I'm good. I only use it in my room, and I just hook up the internet cord to it. So yea. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the USB ports. The 40 gig only has 2.

I love my 20 gig, the best backwards compatibility they offered, but it is true that the 20 gigs go VERY quickly with the mandatory 4 gig installs most games have these days. However I just got a 200 gig HD to upgrade to from EBay for 80 USD which should help that a bit. ;)

20 gig has both software and hardware-based emulation so it should play ANY PS2 or 1 game where as even the 80 gig (the second-best BC), with only hardware-based emulation, will play about 95% of PS2 games.

If you don't mind a wired connection, no card readers and are willing to upgrade to a larger HD I definitly say go with the 20 (or the bad-*** MGS4 bundle if you have the money, its just sweet).
