Hugeeee Problem!!!!!

I have a huge problem and it is really pissing me off! When I turn my PS3 on it starts up and says “Sony Computer Entertainment” like normal right? So, that goes away and I wait for the menu to come up…and nothing happens. I just sit there waiting for my PS3 to go to the menu, and it doesn’t. It just sits there like it wont load. Please try to help me out here.

Try holding down the power button when you shut it off. It will beep twice and that means the video settings are resetting. Turn it back on and try that...Although the Sony showing says that might not be the problem.

I did that then when i turn it on nothing pops up, gee thanks, can anyone help me with this new problem ?

Maybe your hard drive went. IDK... Don't *****foot around, and if you really want it done, call Sony.

i dunno sonys number, and like do u have to have warranty for them to help me or for them to fix it?

I don't know what country you're from so just google your country + sony playstation customer support or find your manual

sony is the only one that can fix it

if your ps3 is really hot it's over heated and needs to cool down otherwise ring sony

Sony's number can be found on the internet, on your box, etc. Yes you need to have a warranty for them to fix it for free. Otherwise, its 100-200 bucks. Try another video input. Like if you have it on an HDMI connection, switch to a composite. Or vice versa. Maybe your HDMI output is shot?

all ps3's come with a year warranty so if you're under the year and have proof of purchase you're covered

This happened to me about an hour ago when I upgraded to 2.36, but turning it off and on again fixed it. Did you just upgrade your firmware by any chance?

No all the sudden it didnt work, and i didnt buy it a good friend gave to me brand new but no warranty
I had it for a year now, no problems until now

For one try not to act so ungrateful when people are trying to help your the one with the problem you know that saying with the bees and honey pretty spot in. If it is not displaying a picture at all its because when you reset it it set the system back to factory defaults so im assuming you have it hooked up Via hdmi so your going to have to find the component cables and hook it back up so you can change it back to HDMI see were that gets you.

well still dont work ill tell u exactly what happens. I turn on the ps3, red light comes on, like normal. Then i put my finger above the red light, it turns blue and green light. On my TV nothing comes on. I have tryed reseting the video settings or whatever and im pretty sure i did that right. And i NEVER had a HDMI cable in the 1 and an half year period i owned my PS3. And I do not think buying one will fix it, if im wrong then tell me
