is it possible to slow down my ps3s signal? It slows every computer/laptop in my house to a crawl. this is strange because i have a linksys 54mbps router and my net speed clocked in at 3500kbs-ish. I noticed when i had the ps3eye going my friend on the other end said i was going at 600kbps and my video/audio feed was in perfect sync with my lip movements when I talk. Normally I'd think this is pretty sweet, but the "sweetness" ends when my parents told me i cant have my ps3 internet on while they are home in case they want to use their laptops. So how do I make my ps3 slowdown on the bandwidth?

no the only way would go to your router and close up the port on that the ps3 is using

would that slow it down or just shut it off? and why does the ps3 take all the bandwidth?

well i was downloading the cod4 update when my parents started yelling at me. the download wouldnt even finish. it only got to like 10-15% before getting stopped then i would get signed out. i was thinking i got kicked off when my parents clicked a web page link or somethin.

I don't know, my internet usually does fine whenever I (or my roommate) play online. He's actually on COD4 right now and we're both on wireless and my speed on the laptop is great.
On www.speedtest.net I'm actually running at 7.2 MB/s.

The only way is to go into your router, set your PS3 to a Static IP address. With some routers you can select how much of the routers available bandwidth you can allocate to the PS3.. you can also do the same for PC LAPTOP, give them a static IP adress and say the minimum you want each to have etc.... hope of some help
