New Robocop Coming 2010?!?!?!

I only found out about this just now after looking up the film, surprised I didn't hear about this before, but wow, Robocop remake coming in 2010.

Personally, Robocop does not need a remake, a continuation maybe but not a remake! Verhoeven's was and is still awesome...

I heard there was consideration of the Robocop film.

I hope this idea gets scrapped. A remake is a terrible idea, the film isn't old. A new one will probably end up being crappy...
Why has there been a slew of digging up the oldies recently?? Like Indy, Rambo, Die Hard etc??? Where has all the creative thinking gone?

In fairness, i thought Rambo 4 and Die Hard 4 were actually really good... i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'll happily watch a remake any day. I think it's hard to come up with an original idea for a film when straight-to-
video & cable shows pump out soooo many sci-fi/fantasy/action B-movies every month.

Robocop with today's special fx & new vision peeks my curiosity. I say " Bring it on."

Robocop vs. Terminator would have been a good way to revive both franchises, especially with today's effects....
