Discs Doesn't Show

for some reason whether i put in a music CD, DVD, or game, it does NOT show up for some reason, i had this problem before but it fixed itself but now it's not showing up again and i can't get it to show, help!

Don't play call of duty 4 on a 40 gb playstation 3. The same thing happen to my nephew and it never worked again until it wants to.

i don't have a 40 gig, i have a 60 gig and i played call of duty 4 2 days ago, it was after i turned off the ps3 and turned it back on that it wouldn't show since even after switching discs

COD does that to some PS3's. I would call Sony's customer support, they really do help.

alright, it works now, i used some dust away spray on the disc slot and it started working again

Good thing you got it working again:), but if that happens again there might be a malfunction with the lazer that reads the CD's.
