MMDs

Ran into a problem tonight, I turn on my PS3 and there is just a black screen, NO XMB, NO IMAGES, NOTHING shows up, no sound either but my screen does turn black from blue when i turn it on.
I installed the fw 2.36 last night after watching a blu-ray and when it finished it took me back to the xmb and from there i turned off the system. After getting home from work today I turned on my PS3 through remote play to see if there was anything in the store i didnt get a chance to dl cuz my fiance was watching some dance show, it worked fine through PSP but when i went back to it on the TV i saw nothing but a black screen.
I've tried everything thinnking that it might of reset the output settings, I held down the power button till i heard two beeps and still nothing, i've done this 4 times already and still nothing, i switched out the hdmi back to composite and it worked on composite but went back to hdmi and nothing, i even tried another hdmi cable and that didn't work either not even switching to the second HDMI port on my TV. I don't know how i seem to get into such a predicament. I didn't see anybody else run into this problem on the internet so i might have to call sony.
unless anybody here has any ideas?
UPDATE: I called sony and they told me that mine is a very rare case and that i will need to send out my PS3 to be repaired and because it is not under warranty i have to pay the $150 repair fee. Sux but it cheaper than having to pay for another system. Also i wont get a chance to play MGS4 for 2-3 weeks now instead of next week when i was to purchase it, DAMMIT such bad timing.
UPDATE 2: so i get home last night from work and try my luck again with my PS3 and everything is working fine now, the display and sound is back up. i'm gonna try it out a few more days and i will call Sony back up and cancel the service order. WHAT THE HELL, i'm happy and mad at the same time. so confused. :confused:
If its working fine for a couple more days i'll come back in here and see if the MODS can close this thread.
UPDATE 3: Everything is still working fine, don't know what the hiccup was about!
