Hi guys im new to the forum and there may be a thread on this subject already hear but i cant find it ...
so just wanna ask a question ..
do ps3 consoles purchased in honk kong work in australia???
will the games work if i buy them in australia??
and will the blue ray dvd's work ???

Well it has a universal power supply and the games are region free so no worries there. However, if DVD's and Blu-Rays in Australia use a different region code to those in Hong Kong then they ain't going to work.

ye ive heard that about the blu rays ...but on the other hand ive heard they work ..

hey mate all games will work like said above blu-ray movies are in fact region coded, but some of them (mostly sony) arn't use this site to tell

so if you buy a ps3 from hong kong most australian moves blu ray and dvd wont play on it.

Your welcome mate, done a search on google and came across these for you-
Blu-Ray region coding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc), you'll have to scroll down a little to find the map on this one.
DVD region coding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_codes), the map is right at the top of this page.
Hope this answers your question about DVDs and Blu-Rays a little better, there a quite a few region free ones which will work in any region.

Your welcome mate, done a search on google and came across these for you-
Blu-Ray region coding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc), you'll have to scroll down a little to find the map on this one.
DVD region coding (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_codes), the map is right at the top of this page.
Hope this answers your question about DVDs and Blu-Rays a little better, there a quite a few region free ones which will work in any region.
