Oh man I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And speculation says that a teaser trailer could be shown off with either Wall-E or Wanted. Again, that's pure speculation, but I'm already getting my hopes up :DD

Some great sites to check up on TF2 news are:
1. Michael's Bay Official site (http://www.michaelbay.com/)
2. Transformers Live Action Movie Blog (http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/)

I don't know about you guys but I'm seriously pumped. And remember Transformers on Blu-ray is only about a month and half away (Sept. 2nd for the US).

Btw, There is a countdown on Bay's site to the release. Not sure about some of you but I'll be staring at that clock from time to time wishing it hits zero!

"Not a lame sequel"
06/04/2008 11:54 AM
From MTV.com:

First there was “Back to the Future,” and then “The Matrix,” and then, more recently, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” where literally the last thing said on screen during the second film was a cliffhanging new plot point. If you’ve got a successful franchise, why not link the second and third movies, forcing audiences to wait upwards of a year for resolution?

Because it’s friggin “lame,” “Transformers” director Michael Bay insisted to us at the MTV Movie Awards, telling MTV News that the second go-round with Optimus Prime would be entirely self-contained.

“You know how those sequels they do the second one so you go see the third one? ["Transformers 2”] is it,” he said, indicating that “2” would be its own story free from the duel shackles of set-up or resolution. “First one was just introducing, setting up stuff, so we can go a lot farther. Let’s just say [this] is not a lame sequel.”

If “Transformers” was all about introduction, then “Transformers 2” will be all about escalation, with reports that upwards of 20 robots will do battle in the blockbuster sequel. But for Bay, it’s not the number of robots present, but how they’ll be more fully and individually realized that has him excited, he said.

“The robots are going to surprise a lot of people because we go with a lot of different levels,” he teased.

Of course, that also applies to returning cast members, as well, who will now get a chance to go further with their characters than they did in the original. Shia LaBeouf will be in college (and taught by Rainn Wilson). But forget transforming robots or finals angst, Megan Fox smiled, the real transformation is yet to come.

“In this one I transform from a girl into a woman,” she laughed. From Bay's site. Looks like our hopes and dreams are in good hands. Just as I suspected :)

Also another interesting tidbit explaining the title (as if no one guessed):
Revenge of the Fallen
06/05/2008 05:19 PM
From Hasbro.com:

With a little more than a year away until its debut, the buzz is building about the sequel to 2007’s hit movie TRANSFORMERS

TRANSFORMERS 2: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN began shooting on June 2nd in Bethlehem, PA. While details of the movie’s plot a closely-guarded secret, expect a key character from the first movie to make a dramatic comeback and attempt to settle a score. Also from Bay's site.

I didn't like the first one at all. Especially the robot that acted black was the only one to die  That was ****ed up. Token bot never had a chance.

I saw that there will be a "girl" Transformer that is a motorcycle.

This is raises the question to just how the hell these guys reproduce..

Anyways, I liked the first film, but I hope this film doesn't have any 'filler' characters like in the first film: IE -The australian women. She found the virus, then got on a helicopter then dissappeared. Sure she was hot and all, but at last flesh out the damn characters.

Also, I think Shia La Beouf should die in this film. His characters, although well recognised, are all fairly samey with the whole awkward teenage feel about them. (Apart from Indy Jones + Crystal Skull - I enjoyed his performance in this.)

I didn't like the first one at all.I'll be banned if I make any comment on that sentence. :-P

But seriously I don't know what to say to you, lol. Well each robot acted and spoke differently. And how many lines did Jazz have? Like two actual lines.

(Apart from Indy Jones + Crystal Skull - I enjoyed his performance in this.)Bay let her take the role so the movie would seem more internationally accepted since transformers isn't an American thing only. Remember she was helping the guys get the radio together to get a message to the airforce to send help to Mission City.

Yea Shia's performance probably will seen kinda like a teen in this movie as the character he played was in High School. Even Stevens' was the same and I believe so was Distubrbia. He just happens to get roles as of teen characters. I think he does a good job with it.

Don't get me wrong, I think he is a wonderful actor, but the performance just felt to similar to that of even stevens, just on a much grander scale. It was harsh of me to wish him death in the second film. Just major injuries.

Also, I hope that this film keeps the humour of the first, that was appealing.

From what I understand Unicron is slated to be in this, or the third film. voiced by JAMES EARL JONES!

EPIC.

They can't have a transformers flick without Megatron, so somehow he'll be revived and\or turned into Galvatron.

Holy Hell! James Earl Jones?? That would be freakin awesome!

Yea speculation was that from how Megatron was disposed of in the last film he would turn into Galvatron.

"No, Ebay Username LadiesMan217, I am your father!"

Seriously though, I can't wait for this. I expect the story to improve and the special effects, which were outstanding, to also get better.

I LOVE THE TRANSFORMERS.

Just don't make the mistake of killing Prime like in the original Transformers movie, which basically killed the series at the time.

Bay has never disappointed yet. Although he has never done a sequel. However, I don't see him failing regardless. I'm not sure he knows how to.

Hmmmm
Revenge of the fallen sounds alot like the empire strikes back and the voice for vader is the voice for unicron. Also in the 1st movie megatrons jet thing reminded me of a X-wing.

This film will own all when it comes out. Interestingly, flicking through the back pages of the my wifes Buffy series 8 comic, it has interviews with the writers of the Transformers movie comic sequel, I may pick that up because I'm sure they would follow of it somewhat...

Well if you watched Generation 1 Transformers, you should know that in the first episodes that acted as sort of a movie, the decepticons were about to escape back to cybertron but the ship crashed in the pacific ocean and that ship became their base down below. In this movie at the end when megatron was being disposed of, it was in the pacific ocean. so who knows how he will do it. I liked the movie but there is SOOO much that i disliked. I dont think unicron should be in the second one, put him in the third

The Corvette Hybrid looks very badass. Looks like an evil twin of Bumblebee. If they gave it the Bumblebee paint job, he could have a cool make-over ;) I doubt it'll be Bumblebee though. Scenes have already been shot with the original car... err well, maybe the new one but definitely not the hybrid.
