What is R.A.G.E?
R.A.G.E is a UK-based clan, to put it simply.

What games do you play?
The main one, for the time being, is Metal Gear Online. However, more and more games may be added to the roster as time goes on. Games being considered included Call of Duty 4, SOCOM and Team Fortress 2.

How do I join?
Firstly, you need to be a British citizen. This is a UK-based clan and, because of this, I want British-based members. If you live in Britain and are interested in joining, then please post your Playstation Network name and your Game ID and I'll add you to the list. There is no limit to how many people join so don't back down if the list is reaching hundreds.

What do I need?
You'll obviously need a PLAYSTATION 3, and a copy of Metal Gear Online. If you have those then, great, you have half the stuff you need. The other thing(s) you need is determination and a strong sense of team spirit. You'll also need to be able to work in a team and under stress - as we all know, Metal Gear Online can get very frantic and it requires teamwork if we're to win.

Heya,

Just left my 'first' clan recently - no games going on etc, and I'm really interested in getting involved with a more British oriented group, as I'm from South-East London myself, and I always had it in my minds eye that we Brits should rule the world, like our own Metal Gear SAS :P haha

So yeah, I'd like very much to join if at all possible. The idea of spreading this to COD4 sounds fantastic as well, I'd love to get involved (again) with a group of Brits to play against/with on there!

I got a bluetooth headset yesterday too, so hopefully if lotsa people have one that can be used towards tactics! Although I'm still not actually sure if I'm using it right :( So anyway, yeah, there's my application!

I haven't actually got around to setting up the clan just yet. I've been busy tidying up the house with my girlfriend because we're due a new kitchen. However, I'll try and get around to it tomorrow (I might even try and do it tonight, after she's finished kicking *** on CoD4) so when I do, I'll let you know. I do, however, have a forum set up here (http://z4.invisionfree.com/RAGE_Forum) so sign up there (and anyone else in the clan) and all news regarding the clan will be posted there, too.

At the moment, we are not entered into any official competitions but, then again, Metal Gear Online has only just been released so details on any leagues that are going are pretty scarce. However, R.A.G.E will aim to compete in a number of official competitions once the online community is up and running with a higher number of players at higher levels.

Then we can link it to this thread and it'd make a good way of 'spreading the word' that way. I suck at photoshop personally, I wouldn't be able to whip up much at all. The image I have in my signature is the best I can do and that took me like 3 days :(

Woah, I wasn't expecting to come online and see so many show interest, but I'm really glad that I have. It's excellent to see that so many people are willing to give R.A.G.E a try at being the next best thing. Anyway, I think it IS about time to sit down and set up a practice 'trial' match to see how we handle and stuff. However, there are people who have school/college/work/family/etc so we need to try and work around that. So, I propose we have a match (either DM or TDM) on Wednesday at about 9pm. If this is inconvenient for anyone, we can arrange it for another time.

On a side note, I've found out you can only start a clan once you're Lvl. 3 with a play time of 20 hours or over. I'm only Lvl. 1 with a few hours play time at most so we won't be having any 'official' clan matches for sometime. However, we can still go online and kick some *** on another server or something. Also, I propose we bring the clan to CoD4, too, if anyone is interested? I'm forever playing that game, and it will be interesting to see how we play on that too.

Yeah I fancy the COD idea too. Why not expand it to whichever games we own as a majority? E.g. if we all own Resistance expand it to that, if it has clans (I'm not entirely sure, haha). UT3? I dunno - but yeah, I love the idea of COD4. I've picked up the pace with MGO now, reached level 3 yesterday, have no idea what it takes to make you level up though!

Wednesday at 9 sounds good to me, don't think I've got anything that could prevent me from taking part! :D

What will we be playing? COD4 or MGO? Is someone planning on setting up a clan which can be joined prior to that date.

BTW, I'm lvl 2 on MGO, but I doubt I've passed the 20 hour mark yet, so I'm afaid that I won't be able to set up the clan.

I must confess that whenever I have played these online I have only ever joined a matched game and not a hosted game (same with Resistence). I'm presuming it is easy enough to figure out, so I should hopefully be able to joing a game (or several) this evening.

It's good to see so many UK based people who are eager to start up a clan on this forum, here's hoping that this grows even more in popularity.

As far as I'm aware, once you've turned on your headset for MGO - on the gameplay options, use R1 to scroll through the options and you'll eventually come to one about audio output or something. Change the option so that it's to the external/bluetooth device and turn all the options up to 10. Apparently that'll make you hear and be heard a lot clearer. I haven't been able to test this out though, just read it on a site a while back.

I've got no idea about the other one connecting - have you put it onto that 'detecting' mode thing? Like on mine I had to switch the headset off, then hold the power button down until it did some kind of flash which meant the ps3 could then detect it. Best to look at the instructions, cos I ain't got a clue on that one, haha.

Asoe209 - Sorry can't help man... Have you tried checking the forum to see if there is any help with either headset. I would have thought that the jarba one would work fine, since it came with Warhawk!

I was quite impressed by the way some of you played. You each have your own way of playing the game, and I like that, but some people just had that extra something which made them stand out from the rest. I'll be keeping an eye on them in future - they're showing some true promise. Sorry for leaving the game so early on, anyway, I had to do something and it had to be done there and then. I'm free tomorrow night if anyone is up for another game - I might even try and set-up the CoD4 division.

I tend to be free Wednesday and Thursday evenings as a rule (my wife is normally out on thiose evenings), but I'd be happy to join in a game whenever I can. It's good to see so many people interested.

I haven't played COD4 for some time, but I'd be happy to give that a go sometime as well if people are interested. As I've said previously, my connection speed is not great where I live, so I do not make a good host, but I am happy to join any games organised by the rest of you.

I'd certainly say that we are making a great group of similiarily minded UK gamers, don't think we are a cohesive team as of yet :-\

It's a shame that there are any more headsets available, they would certainly help for teamwork for team based games.

na that is what i thought but that was the spring seasson we are now in the summer season. and that ends in december.

what we can to is join but we dint have to play any games just sit on the ladder so we can spend some time bonding as a team.

I don't care who starts the clan. We're all in this together, and the way I see it is there is no 'leader' as such. If Asoe can get the clan sorted then great, we can start straight away and go from there.
