Ps3 problem

I'm having this problem when i go to turn on my ps3.The green and blue light come on but there is no video also the controller lights flash at the same time.What I've done is check all cables and move them around and still nothing.Also at other times i go to turn it on and it makes 3 beeps and turns off and the controller lights keep on flashing.I may have to buy new cables and then if that doesn't work call sony but was wondering if anyone has had this problem?

You should make sure your video set up is right, if you have the ps3 set to output on hdmi and are using a normal cable then you wont see it, as for the turning on and off i suggest you phone sony ASAP, they are quite helpful on their technical support lines

By what i have read it sounds like you either turned the PS3 off using the main power switch, or the power must have gone out, try this, plug the controller via USB, Now turn the PS3 on by holding the power button for 5 seconds or until you hear two beeps, this will reset the video and audio settings, so make sure you have the TV on if you still using HDMI, now press the PS button on the controller to synch it witht he PS3, and you should be all set. If this doesn't work (which it should) Give Sony a call.

Zodia I tried that and it didn't work every time i go to turn it on by holding down the power button it make 3 beeps and turns off
