I like Greenday but i stopped listening to them a lot when American Idiot came out. Just because the songs on that cd were *****d on the radio so everytime i hear the song my mind is like noooo please no.

Yeah, I agree, they were great until they released American Idiot. Then everyone jumped all over them for one song. Anything before 'American Idiot' was great!!

I haven't heard a lot of their pre-American Idiot stuff, so I can't really say whether I like them better now compared to earlier. I like a couple of their songs, though, but American Idiot is SO overplayed. Wake Me Up... and Jesus of Suburbia are truly awesome songs, though.

I loved all the albums even 1039 smoothed out slappy out hours, there first one.

American Idiot is like a rock ballad and have to listen to it all the way through, it's very smart the way they put it together. Don't listen to one song listen to it all, it's weird.

MILTON KEYNES 2005 LIVE ON.

I love Jesus of Suburbia, it's just when I hear American Idiot being played, I think of some sixteen year old jumping around his room thinking his 'hardcore' for liking Green Day

American Idiot....just got old. Never really listened to them before that, but their old stuff is better...seems like they sold out a bit on AI and it was played over the radio over and freaking over.

At the end of the day the radio is going to play it non stop which they cant help, they are big now, 120k people in England in 2 days with being sold out a year in advance they are bound to hype it.

Best song will always be, time of your life.

They'd be considerably better if they weren't spouting their nonsensical political opinions all over the place attempting to sound pseudo-informed to their 13-16 year old target demographic.

But I do like Boulevard of Broken Dreams and Holiday considerably. Their songs are really catch, and their lead singer is awesome too.

Didn't I say 120k? actually it was 130 cos it was 65k people for 2 days. Best concert ever I loved it to bits. I'm gonna watch the DVD in a bit as the memories came back.

24 hour road trip of drinking and smoking with a ****ing amazing concert in the middle.

Jimmy Eat World were awesome too and was a great warm up along with Hard Fi and Taking Back Sunday.

I went on the Saturday and couldn't of wished for anymore.

We were in a massive traffic on the way in playing International Superhits and said to my mates that I don't think they will be that good because what I heard of them live was proper crap, I walked away speechless.

Green Day is awesome. They were the first band I saw in concert (along with Blink, NFG, and Sugarcult) at the Pop Disaster Tour. That was a great show.

I liked American Idiot, the album. I didnt care as much for the single, as it got played out too fast, and I also didnt think it belonged with the rest of the material on the album. Jesus of Surburbia and Homecoming were amazing works. I look forward to their next album, and am curious to see which direction they take it in.

All of there stuff before American Idiot was great. When American Idiot came out the songs were on the radio way to much and got old pretty fast.

I just think there are bands out their that are lyrically and vocally better. I think they got hyped after 'that album' and everyone loved them. Punk isn't want it used to be.
Long live Iggy!!

I am anticipating their new album. Last September they said they were choosing from a list of 40 or so songs. Man I hope the album releases soon.

I hate what they've become...I remember 10 years ago when they were an extremely obscure band and no one had even heard of them, their music was so awesome back then !! They've been going for nearly 20 years now !! whoah that is weird to think about !! and I'm only 19 !! haha

actually its been about 15 years since people hadn't heard of them, dookie was massive and sold about 12 million copies, i hope the foxboro hot tubs (side project) come and do a uk tour, it would be so awesome to see green day in a small venue again. the new green day album hasn't been recorded yet, the songs they were choosing was for the foxboro album stop drop and roll which is amazing :)
