While I was thinking that the PS3forums needs a usergroup, that purpose is to review major releases for all the consoles. Anyone us agree with me?

I have an idea for how to pick people for example in my thread for psp review thread and the game reviews for the 360 whoever makes a really good review they get to be part of that group.

Yes I was thinking that as a way to get people, but than their isn't a lot of individual people posting in them. So I was thinking to throw in a test to prove the person's ability in reviewing. Plus we would need somebody who has strong English skills to edit them too.

So far by my count we need a couple of reviews( 5 I think would be good to start off) and 2 editors to start off too.

If I get enough support of this I will start this up.

I might be from Spain, but i think i have a considerable english language :D
I could be useful for PS2 and PSP as i dont have any other consoles and my PC is not that good for playing.

Maybe you could do as i did, write about another game you really like, even if it is old. I think that good but old games deserve a review :D

Okay to say what we need for this time.

What we need (All of these all minimums for the systems):

1 person able to cover the Gamecube
1 person able to cover the DS
1 person able to cover the Xbox
1 person able to cover the 360
1 person able to cover the PS2
1 person able to cover the PSP
1 person able to cover the PC
2 people able to edit reviews

I am able to cover the 360, Xbox(in some cases) and the PS2. I be getting a good PC soon so I be able to cover that in limited areas. For these review testes I will be looking for knowledge of videogames and understanding of the English language (nothing good just enough to get the editors to be able to fix it). Editors are aslo able to review games if they want.

A review squad would be cool however, interviews would be necessary.

Thats why I would be giving test reviews for those who want to join.

Yeah, but interviews should be done contacting to who? That is kind of hard to think...maybe an email interview with some producer or some kind or developer of a game.

well you guys also have ps3 portal and ps3 land connected to this site. and some of the writers in them are from this site. i remember a while back i brought this up and the admin said just start reviewing and they will think about it. i started reviewing and now im in training to write for ps3 portal.

Yes i do know of them soldier one and i notice that they are a little behind.

There is already a section for posting Xbox 360 Hardware/Software reviews and when PS3 is launched there will be one for PS3 Hardware/Software as well. I'm not sure about a separate user group for reviews, certainly if you are serious about wanting to be in a ‘review usergroup’ then you should get posting the best quality mag-quality/style reviews in the current review section. As I have already stated in those sections, if you are a competent writer/reviewer you may be offered a paid job to work for PS3Portal.com.

What if we can't submit to PS3 portal or PS3 land as we are under 16? Could we jus have a reveiw section on these sites and people can post there? Then maybe insted of a uerground they get a special sig banner or an icon to know that they can be trusted with reveiws?

Also, if you are starting one up The Butcher i will be happy to help. I already write the Electronics section in my school magazine.

Also I notice that the ps3portal.com reviews are behind so you could use the the reviews done by the usergroup, if you have the permission of the writer of it.

Yeah, a magazine style review could be nice, however, as HTML can be used in the forum, i would consider making nice reviews on HTML :D

When does any he not expect and guarantee a world series? That just puts more pressure on the team to be succesful.

I like the idea, but think there should be more than 1 reviewer per console, since that reviewer isn't going to be able to buy/play all games out there.

However we should work like this:

The reviewer makes a review, then, after he finishes it, an editor would get the review and tell the reviewer where he needs to add, cut or correct things or misspelled words.
Morpheus, i agree with you. There is a review section on both sites. But there is no review crew in the forums...What i mean is, many people want opinions before they waste their 60DL in a brand new game, or 3DL to rent it.

In conclussion, if we have a review crew, i could work as reviewer as well as editor, as i can learn other ways to write through other reviews.

I'm not convinced that at present this warrants its own section. I think this may be jumping the gun slightly. I know how much you guys want to review things, but we will be creating a PS3 hardware/software review section in November when PS3 is released. At present there is an Xbox 360 Hardware/software review section that you may wish to post in. If, you aren’t a 360 user or you just want to practice writing news articles then you can post them in the PS3 sections.
