View Full Version : A quick hard drive formatting question

I know when connecting a external HDD to the PS3 it must be formated in Fat32, but what I'm unclear on is the internal drive. Will the PS3 format this drive on its own?

If you are installing a new internal HDD, yes the PS3 will perform a quick format on it.
