Hey guys This may sound like a stupid question but i really need expert advice.

Is it true that the Camera you driving or racing on affects your skill or maybe depends on your skill? I usally drive on Front Bumper Camera and i feel confindence but when i change camera to close or far even inside view i cant drive as good as the front bumper camera its just weird and im talking about GRID for example so any helpful comments about this please??

Yes, it's all about what you're used to, if you normally drive with one camera and switch to another it'll take some getting used to :)

yup. for whatever reason, I always need to select a view that lets me see the whole car. anything else, and i get totally disoriented.

Maybe if I used a wheel, that would change

Yeah the different camera angles effect how you drice.
Because if your on the bumper cam, you have an unhindered view of the road ahead. Therefore you can see the reacing line clearly and line the car up for the fastest way around the corner.
The far away camera especially for me (I'm going via GT5 Prologue here) i find nearly impossible to go quickly with, it feels like you are pushing aorund a block when outside the car but when you are technically inside the car (IE on the bumper) you sort of "feel" the car turning and where its going.

Hopefully that makes sense ^^;

(Btw, shouldn't this be in the gaming section O_o?)

Of course a different camera view changes your skill level. Well thats what I think. I used to like driving with the whole car in view (an external shot) but since playing GT5:P I've moved to the front bumper cam, the one where you can just see road ahead of you.

I still can't get used to driving in anything but a view which is slightly behind the car, otherwise I get dis-orientated, it's really strange but it's just what I do, some people can drive better doing that, some people can't even go up a straight without altering the view.

If one method works best for you, use it, after all, you'll need the advantage ;)

I don't think it necessarily dictates your ability. What ever you're comfortable with use. You're the one racing.
For me it depends on the game. Usually the bumper view for me, but in F1 I like seeing the nose.
I usually can't race with the views behind the cars, feel too slow and jerky.

relax mate, it's just what you're used to. I usually have the view as far back from the car as I can have it, because I can't turn without crashing otherwise. Other people have the bumper view. whatever you are most comfortable with is the best view for you. ;)

Yea view definitly affects how well you drive but I wouldn't say it takes more skill to use one view then another, its just which view you feel comfortable with.

For me, games like GTA I need a view where I can see the whole car from as far behind as possible but for games like Gran Turismo or GRID I always use the front bumper or inside the car view, it just feels more natural.

Just experiment and find which works best for you.

I am using 2diffrent camera views in Race Driver Grid in Europe races i use close camera (behind car) i cant drive with bumper hood or inside views there is just hard and weird.. in usa races i can only race with hood and bumper camera other cameras no way keep crashing and with those 2 cameras i never crash or lose, as for Japan i use close camera aswell its easy there dosent matter what camera view i use there BTW Thanks for all your advice help =)

I always use the first-person bumper view on Gran Turismo. On Forza I can drive fine with the 3rd-person view. IMO, the bumper cam makes it a lot easier to turn corners and drive around bends in the road.
