I was never into Beverly Hills Cop and Eddie Murphy is starting to become annoying to me...
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - If Indiana Jones can make a successful comeback after almost 20 years, why not the Beverly Hills Cop?
Paramount Pictures has given the go-ahead for a fourth installment of its "Beverly Hills Cop" franchise, with Eddie Murphy on board to return to the role that launched his movie career, the studio said on Thursday.
Brett Ratner, the filmmaker behind the similarly themed "Rush Hour" movies starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, is in negotiations to direct the latest "Beverly Hills Cop" adventure, a Paramount spokesman said.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura ("Transformers") will produce.
The film is expected to begin filming next year for a summer 2010 release.
According to Daily Variety, it was Murphy, 47, who approached the Viacom Inc-owned studio about reviving the film series in which he plays a Detroit police detective, Axel Foley, who ends up chasing crooks in Beverly Hills, California.

I actually forgot about Underworld 3. Wonder if Kate Beckinsale will be back in it. Course, I'm not sure what the plot entails this time which could dictate her involvement.
Personally, my Dad, all my friends and I all loved Iron Man. In our opinions it definitely was the opposite of a flop. It easily goes up there with Transformers, in my book anyway. The Hulk just won't do too well as you mention, that one will flop but Iron Man is a definite must see.
Back on topic, very cool to hear about another Beverly Hills Cop. Eddie Murphy is great IMO, although his recent films are a little odd. As long as they keep the humor and characters of the old films, and not try and make this into some epic cop adventure it should be good as far as I can see.

I think she is married to the director so he may he may just find some way to include her in the third...

I think she is married to the director so he may he may just find some way to include her in the third...Hmmm... ok. Well for half the fans she was probably one of the best elements of the movies. Without her I'm not sure how the movie would hold up. So hopefully she'll be in this one in some form.
