How do you play your music?

When you play your music, do you listen to albums from start to end, or you have a playlist?

I like to put it on shuffle.

I have a playlist, and always have it on shuffle otherwise I feel that repeating feel over and over.

I have several playlists, different genres, chill out music and things.

I have all my music on shuffle, or sometimes just take all soundtracks or styles of music to listen to them.

Whenever I get a new album I listen to it once maybe twice.

When I'm on the bus somewhere I tend to listen to podcasts.

I listen to one album at a time, there are occassions that I listen to playlists but when I'm at work I play the albums...

It all depends. Some songs have to be played in a certain order - like Dead! and The End from My Chemical Romance, they lead on from one another without a pause - but some can be played in any order. I usually have my music set to 'shuffle' so I never know what I'm going to get next, but I occasionally listen to whole albums. If I'm on a bus or train, then it's usually shuffle or playlists.

I listen to the album, but the album is on shuffle.

That is unless the songs link together.

i have a playlist and shuffle it so i never here a song twice :D

I play it randomly, as in I make the playlist as I go along.

That has in the past included, but not been limited to:

1: Listening to the same song 100 times in a row

2: Listening to the same song 400 times in 1 week

3: Listening to only 2 songs interlaced

4: Listening to playlists and skipping songs I like but don't want to hear

Most of the time, I listen to whatever song I just happen to feel like at that moment, and if a song bores me half way through, why bother finishing it? I just skip to the next one.

I don't shuffle, but I don't necessarily listen to the entire album either, I just listen to what I want to listen to at the time.

I do a mixture of things. Sometimes I shuffle them up, sometimes I use playlist, customized for certain occasions (party, soft music, sex music... etc ;)) But rarely do I pop in a record, or listen to albums. There's always a song or two in any album that I don't like to listen.

I put iTunes onto shuffle but the randomness of iTunes is pretty pathetic (it just runs in a cycle) so I end up having to select songs I want instead.

I click on Foobar 2000 with my playlist full of FLAC quality audio and raise the volume till I drown in the vibes of the Chili Peppers and co.
